To celebrate Heroes of the Storm and prepare for upcoming fun things like Heroes of the Dorm and the TeamLiquid Open and our shiny new forum we're holding a community contest! It's time for more fun Heroes things. Things that remind you of the purest form of fun as a child hitting people with Frostmourne powered Arthas and not worrying about invisible women from other universes coming in to snipe you all the time.
What we have for you, loyal TeamLiquid reader (or maybe visitor), is a series of contests to show your love of Heroes of the Storm. Which is really all things Blizzard I suppose since the game encapsulates all their franchises. Except Overwatch. But that's not out yet so whatever.
We have fantastic prizes! Blizzard is giving us a whole ton of their merchandise to award people for awesome entries, which we'll award to the best submissions. Have you ever wanted a Brightwing plushie? How about a Zergling that flips inside out to turn into a Baneling? You could choose from any of these with a quality creation.
What about a Diablo Funko Pop? Of course you have. We even have sick Heroes hoodies. You could decorate your desk with a Heroes mug or furiously die as Murky using a sweet logo mouse. Or just show your coworkers how cool you are with a Murloc Solar Buddy which, to be honest, I have no idea what is or does.
No beta key? No problem. We have some! If you enter the contest I can give you a beta key free of charge. Except for the time it took you to submit. This could be your chance to earn entry into the beta!

FanFiction Challenge
Write a preferably PG short fanfiction (less than 500 words). It can be about anything, the universe, a specific progamer, ESPORTS, etc. Funny or outrageous stories are encouraged. You could explain why the heroes are fighting over evil plants. Maybe we'll get them read at the live portion of Heroes of the Dorm.
Poems work too. Seriously, though, we mean PG entries only.
Fan Art Extravaganza
Make a piece of art depicting Heroes of the Storm or the characters in it. It can take any any form you want, could be a pencil drawing or a painting or a digital piece. You could even make progamer macaroni art if you were so inclined. I'd particularly enjoy that one.
I hope it's not necessary to note it should be all-age appropriate.
Heroes Bake Off
Show your finest baking skills with Heroes food. Be it cake, cookie, or pastry, anything edible works. Show us what Kerrigan would look like as a cookie or how Murky would annoy you enemies as a pie.

Finding Love
Create a digital dating profile for one of the stars of Heroes. Show us how Raynor attempts to get back into the dating pool after losing Sarah. Think of how ETC might describe his interests to put himself out there during his busy rock tours.

Toughs from the first time he laid eyes upon what he now saw has the epitome of beauty, a vision came to him while napping of a human from another reality. This time you will be mine Jessy Cox said the druid with a expression that could only be described as lustful. The portal was done and a human figure was descending but something was amiss. The majestic redish hair he had pictured was missing and replaced by remnants of a strong black, and the full beard of a wild beast was replaced with a trimmed well-kept one. No not that, not him. Anybody but him. Malfurion was hopeless, he now saw the error of his ways in an attempt to bring beauty to the world he had brought quite the opposite. A scream was heard something foul like never said before. The human that had just stepped through the portal suddenly went mot@#&*%$ piece of s#^#@ this is the last fu%$@#$ time. He had failed for Jessy cox had not stepped through that portal John Bain had. A entry for the fan fic category of course I laughed so much while writing this . A fanfic involving two of my favorite wow personas from back in the day and my favorite NPC . I am not a native english speaker apologies if there are any grammar or spelling mistakes .
A fa fiction entry to the challenge !! In the cold night three brave heroes started their quest to find the perfect date , they look threw ogers and elfs but still can't find anything until one day one blood elf stands her name Valeera she was hard to get a grip of at first but finally they found out that she was an assassin , so all that was left is who was going to get the loot (Valeera) so they decided to play heroes of the storm and who ever got the most kills got the girl at the end valeera joined the same game and killed them all so nobody got her , LOVE IS TOUGHT;( !

I did bake cake in these little cake molds. I used a lemon pound cake recipe. This is only my first round of attempts putting them together time to try to make more. ^^ It's an interesting treat, though I think it can get away with just a reg pound cake (also not dying the batter green would let the heart come out more too) and maybe needs more extra gelatin for the jello part.
My 2nd batch didn't come out as nice as first batch. Nor the hearts came out clear no matter how many photos I took this was best looking photo.

I love HotS, but it has been extremely frustrating that, update after update, there hasn't been even so much as a hint that my favorite Blizzard character is going to be added to the game. Therefore, for my fan art submission, I decided to take matters into my own hands and design it myself.
I'm loving that Heroes of the Storm mouse; I've never had a mouse better than a cheap $5-10 one so I hope I get it! On to the fiction.. Whenever a new character is introduced into Heroes of the Storm, that character disappears from their original universe in order to be in Heroes of the Storm. My fan fiction is about the fate of Sanctuary (the human world in the Diablo franchise) after its heroes disappear. Here is my submission for the FanFiction Challenge. Enjoy.
The following was taken from a journal entry belonging to a general of Bastion’s Keep:
“It’s been months now since the first disappearance. Throughout Sanctuary, the greatest warriors have gone missing. More disappear as time goes by. About a month ago, we managed to make contact with the angels of the High Heavens and found out that even the angels and demons have begun to disappear. Tyrael, himself, is missing. Some of the Evils, including Azmodan and Diablo, are missing. No one knows where they’ve gone. One thing that is known, however: the demons are taking advantage of these disappearances.
One strength that the demons have over the angels and humans, that most do not seem to understand, is their number; they are infinite. With the disappearance of angel after angel and nephalem after nephalem, our strength is diminishing while the demons simply fill the roles of the missing with another.
People from all over Sanctuary began flooding into Bastion’s Keep over the past few weeks, searching for refuge, after the demons began to spawn throughout Sanctuary. Years ago, during Azmodan’s siege of Bastion’s Keep, the nephalem opened a portal that connected Bastion’s Keep to the High Heavens; the refugees come here assuming that we would receive angelic aid if attacked. The demons must think this too for none have been seen outside our walls yet.
The truth is: the angels will not help us. Imperius, himself, visited the leaders of Bastion’s Keep to inform us that neither he nor any of his soldiers will help us. I do not trust Imperius; his hatred towards humans is well known. Imperius says he won’t help us because the Heavens have been crippled by the absence of power that belonged to the missing angels but really he’s taking advantage of Tyrael’s absence. He must be. Tyrael has been working toward an alliance between angels and humans but, with him gone, all of that work has no doubt been undone by Imperius. He finally found his way to be rid of the humans and that is to do nothing.
Since the return of the demons, contact with the rest of Sanctuary has slowly diminished. Many settlements, including Westmarch, New Tristram, and Caldeum, have been overwhelmed; more go with each day. Fewer and fewer scouts and messengers manage to return each time they are sent out; it becomes harder and harder to replace them as fear of leaving the walls of Bastion’s Keep increases. The people are scared. Crime has increased. The guard, both on the walls and patrolling the streets, has increased. The pubs and churches have never been so crowded. It’s total chaos.
I hope for the return of the nephalem for, without them, we wouldn’t have survived Azmodan’s invasion and we certainly won’t survive another. I fear, however, that they may not come back.
I must return to my duties, for a guard has just told me of an approaching army. The demons have finally come.”
The calm, shinny day didn’t reflect the atmosphere that was being felt at the battle field. You could see a kid playing with his dog, unaware of the impending battle that will inevitably ensue at any moment. On the streets you could hear the people talking, trying to shift their attention to other, less worrisome things. And yet, as they talked about the weather, you could hear the nervousness in their voice. The fear was taking over.
At the distance, you could see the enemy preparing its minions, while your generals did the same. There was nothing left to do, but to wait.
The Nexus can be a reckless place. It’s amazing how, after all this time, the denizens still have fear in their eyes whenever a battle is about to start, and yet, they choose to stay.
The time had come, the gates had opened, and the battle began. Through blood and fire we opened our way onto the outer fortifications of the enemy. What looked like it would be a cruel battle at first, became a landslide victory for us, or at least, that was what seemed like at first. We managed to get control of the first two tributes, and finished destroying their outer fortifications, but then as victory drew closer, something disastrous happened.
Our fearsome leader started to lose its connection with the Nexus, you could see him literally fade away into the darkness. He did his best to stay, but ultimately, there was nothing left from him but an empty body, without his soul.
The enemy team noticed, and took advantage out of it. Our team started to fall apart. They picked us one by one, and secured the next two tributes. It all was starting to look worse and worse for us.
The most crucial moment of the battle began when another tribute spawned.This was the difference between victory or defeat, whoever took it would curse the enemy team, deactivating its fortifications and opening a clear path to victory. We needed that tribute, but just as we were going for him, ten thousand years of hatred fell upon our little Jim. It was a 3 vs 5 now, and so, we retreated back into our base to face our destiny.
As the curse began, I screamed with anger towards the sky:
-”It's over dammit! We were so close at first”.
Just as I finished the phrase, a dark presence made his voice heard in the Nexus. “Never surrender, Hero.”
-Then what do you suggest! - I said desperately- What do you suggest? What should we do now?
Then, a circle of light started to bloom at our fountain, and soon took the form of a human. It was our leader, our knight! we were five again!.
As he stepped out of the fountain, and the enemy opened his way trough the middle lane, a calm, dark and cold as death voice, stated:

just read on reddit that tespa changed the rules of the tournament in the last minute. If that thing really happened then someone is cheating to make advance some team. I hope blizzard does something.
