You probably had more 2 man teams than the other team and thats why they got higher avg. MMR. Or the CM TrikSlyr had his blizz-MMR adjusted up to play with better people :p | ||

My understanding of that would be a new account with a very high win percentage so his MMR has not yet settled and the system currently thinks 3k+ might be where he will end up on best guess, from losing it implies he might not be hence the large adjustment. Or is that not how it works :p. | ||

![]() Cho'Gall seems so hard to kill with his massive HP pool and abilities. He never died once and did massive amounts of damage. I was torn between going AA build with Giant Killer due to his HP pool or going for an Arrow build. Since they had an Uther for a Divine Shield I figured whittling them down wasn't going to work and since AA requires you to stay in the fight a bit longer than the Arrow build I went for that (didn't want to stay too long vs their comp) but I'm not sure which was the right choice. I suppose it didn't help that they had a 3 group + 2 group against our 3 solo + 2 group. | ||

Had a few games where he was first picked though... we demolished them quite easily. It also is probably connected to rank/ skill/ level of play. Guessing i'm 10:1 in HL Rank 2,6k MMR but 5:10 in QM 2,4 MMR | ||

And he still can hit wave + tower and zone out a single damage dealer, while keeping the waves at the perfect position. So wouldn't recommend putting a single dd + support in the lane against him. Either alot of CC on 2 or a specialist is my go to. Just needs a rotating support for some healing goodness. Or you put Murky against Cho'gall. Which is the funniest thing ever, unless you are Cho'gall. But since we are talking QM troubles here. Cho'gall in a no support game is almost a free win. Which is a good reason why he gains popularity Imo. Also zero cost hero. | ||

On another case, here is another good example of matchmaking flaws ![]() As you can see, average mmr of both teams are fairly even. That's good, right? No, it's not as simple. I have Wiz on my team, which is super great and all, but I also have two players around 3k mmr while the lowest player of the other team is nearly 3.5k. No matter how great the 4.7k player on my team is player, he can't bring enough to balance that out. Just look at zeratul's build, I mean... There really should be somewhat of a minimim mmr range within a team, this wasn't a 10 min queue and the only party was, once again, RoyalZeus and I. The game was really frustrating to play. | ||

1st game we have hammer (he was good) on shrines, I (ETC) say "we must protect hammer so we need frontline". Last pick Zeratul. And a bad one, only me front, GG. Their Nova tear us to pieces. Also the team couldn't look at the map. 2nd game me and my friend screw the draft because of a misunderstanding. We have thrall and jo and diablo (my dfriend). They never ever engaged together. Thrall was always rushing solo or backline. Jo was diving 1v5 all game. 3rd game I prepick ETC. I say we need 1 mage. The 2 premade firstpicking pick KT Jaina. The last player had butcher prepicked since beginning. I say guys we need 2 guys front. Last pick, he changes for Tassadar. GG. In these 3 games the team was never ever grouped on objectives. Playing ETC 2 times when people just won't group behind you even when you delay 1 full minute is just not possible./ edit: was rank 2 10 days ago and felt I was better than the people I was matched with. Now rank 7 and can't do much with these guys. Also do you guys have an advice for duo queue ? What roles can me and my friend pick to carry the game ? Warrior + Healer doesn't work at all I can tell you unless you're a monster Uther + Mura. | ||

Kerrigan with an Uther or Illidan with Uther/Kherazim/Morales can be painful for the enemy team to deal with since they're likely to be randoms. Nova + Zeratul can also be quite deadly if you work together well. | ||

That said, there are always games where they don't pick appropriately and leave us with a huge hole in the composition. Or where they wait until they are the only one left to pick to declare that they don't have any supports and pick Gazlowe. These are the kind of people who shouldn't be allowed to play HL until they are at least level 9 with 1 of each class. | ||
