Take horrible talents and NOT take the mana shield when the enemy team has a Nova. Not whine about every little thing such as retreating from an obviously bad 4v5. Miss over half the teamfights. You guessed wrong. Didn't help that neither our Jaina or our Sylvanas took any talents to help them survive vs Nova. Me and Uther just couldn't keep them alive. I'm not expecting pro things here but I do change my talent choices based on the enemy composition. I went for a Perfect Storm build in this case since the enemy team had no AA focused hero (Valla went for Arrow build). None of the squishies thought: 'Gee, they have a Nova, I should pick a defensive/escape talent'. Nope. Sigh. The damning thing was is that the teamfights where it was actually 5v5 and KT didn't run ahead, we won hard. | ||

Sylvanas got 1v5 ganked and they had a much better engagement against the remaining four of us so me and the other two were trying to retreat, but not KT. He ran in, had to get saved by a Divine Shield only to still not retreat and still die anyway. I tried to stun out and slow the enemy team to allow for a retreat but KT never bothered. Then when he died he started whining against me that I'm running away as tank even though I had 12 coins on me and it was already a lost teamfight when Sylvanas died. Sigh. Some players just don't understand that yoloing into the enemy team can be a bad thing and that retreat is actually an option, regardless of your role. Especially if the enemy team gets an early advantage (or they get 10 earlier), you have to play careful. In come the whiners complaining about your hero or siege damage not being high enough for their liking due to being cautious while they keep dying over and over. Also, many Arthas players just seem to plain old suck. Missing teamfights, soloing forts and picking horrible talents seem to be more frequent amongst Arthas players for some reason. I'd get it with Raynor or Valla since they're so cheap or even free but Arthas is still 7k. Why him? What's it about Arthas that draws in so many bad players? | ||

Arthas has no build that immediately jumps at you saying this is good and he isn't played alot and if he is you don't notice what talents made him great or if he actually was good. Thats usually just happens with frequently played heroes. | ||

I played one game with only ranks 1 on both team (except me and a rank 2 on the other team), we won, but if I was these guys I'd hate to get a placement guy with me. The MMR is really really fucked right now. I'll end up with a 3k or so MMR and I play no differently than my main account (2400 MMR). Also playing with a few 4k MMR players changes the game. When you roam (ETC) and ping someone in lane, I can tell you 4k buddy Thrall will be ready for your coming and you'll secure the kill each time. :-) On the other side Morales did interrupt every single Mosh Pit with her grenade, I couldn't land even one in the entire game (also I suck at mosh). I loved the level of play here, I hope I can get high level games like that more often. edit: about duo queue I think our main issue is that my friend used to be awesome with Tychus but it's not a very competitive hero anymore and he has no assassin with which he can carry the game (despite playing very well). So he mostly plays Tyrande, but she's not so good if I go ETC (I wanted to go ETC only for some time), we really cannot carry the game with bad players who don't look the map. edit 2: Oh and back to QQ, one of my last placement matches Nazeebo decided 4 minutes in that it was over, so he fed the whole game. On respawn he would just right click into their turrets mid lane. We really could have won this easily the other team sucked but the guy decided to spoil 9 people's fun and I still don't know why (we were 1 level behind, such a big deal). He got MANY reports, because he fed, went AFK, insulted so I hope he got 3 reports x 4 players. | ||

Watching one play in Team League earlier, constantly facechecking, making poor decisions, positionally unaware, constantly missing abilities, dropping heroic at the wrong time... so many little errors that should have been long gone with 1200+ games, but no. They hate me telling them what to do better, I can't get annoyed or anything because they take it as a personal insult. Bleh. | ||

To bad that 2 of the 3 team mates that went afk joined back into the game, would have really liked to report em. So can confirm, you can lose games against Jaina bot. I should stick to QMs for my Dailies... Merry Xmas yall | ||

So, we get first pick on Sky Temple. Our first pick, without ever saying anything has Gazlowe selected. So I kindly state that Gazlowe isn't a great first pick. He changes to Azmodan and just locks it in. Azmodan. On Sky Temple. As first pick. And no, he didn't go for a Globe build, he went a completely random useless build. Enemy team gets Muradin/Jaina as their first two picks. I'm third pick along with number two. I think about going tank or healer but with Azmodan likely to be useless we need some damage so I go Valla but number two is AFK and gets Lunara at the last second. Okay not horrible but we'll need a tank and healer on the last two. Enemy team gets Sylvanas and Artanis. Our last two picks go Cho'Gall straight out of the gate, even going as far as saying 'nope sorry' when I asked them to pick a healer/tank. The enemy team rounds out with Malfurion. For the entire game, the Cho'Gall players are constantly talking/whining/flaming in Spanish and Azmodan is flaming everyone as well. Azmodan is never present in any of the teamfights and constantly throws himself at enemy forts and the enemy team and Cho'Gall just keeps running into the enemy team solo as well and dying as a result. Me and Lunara are the only two actually trying anything. When we inevitably lose the game, Cho'Gall states everyone else is noob because of raw damage stats, going as far as stating tanks and healers are bad/noob. Never had such a painful HL game before, even though I was laughing on the inside for half of it because of the sheer stupidity of all of it. One thing I did learn, Valla isn't the best at soloing a temple if you didn't go for Vampiric. I did get the temple but at 10% health left, which Sylvanas happily took advantage of by throwing a Shadow Dagger in my face. Oh well. | ||

Just had a game with etc as tank, me as medic and then sylvanas +jaina and valla Those three dies 4,4,6 times. Me and etc 1 each. Ye... L2P FFS! And this sylvanas gets bursted down from thrall in 2sec or something. Bad pos or what. Then she pings me(iam the healer) 6 BLOODY TIMES IN A ROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY CANT I BLOCK PING FROM PPL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | ||

This is frustrating, b/c i feel like i win more than i lose but i can't progress. And boy, i feel the difference between games at 19 and games at 12. Frustrating. Game. EDIT : it's not Xmas for everyone i guess. I'm 2-17 today in HL. back to rank 19. | ||

Apparently in MOBA games players are physically incapable of basic human interaction lest they give themselves a brain aneurysm or something. 90% of the time people are playing like mute robots and just want to do their own thing and then blame everyone else when the team loses The closest I have come to helpful advice is "wtf r u doing?" and "fkn retard" | ||

I used to be of the mindset that I should just grind games until I progress, but I usually don't get very far and it's very frustrating. Play for like 3 wins in HL a day, and then spend the rest of your time either in QM practicing your mechanics or doing something else non-Heroes related. Some days you'll progress a little bit, others maybe none at all, but it'll feel a lot less frustrating, I promise. Also a good tip a buddy gave me: after two consecutive losses, take at least a 5-10 minute break, go do something else away from your computer for a while, then come back to avoid continual tilting. | ||
