The fact that the map revolves around constant teamfights around blizzard-approved objectives made it so the team that was able to QWER with an extra level would always win the teamfight Looks to me like LE is just a lot better at fighting.

Yay this HotS actually works at blizzcon.

I realize these teams might not be 'even' but it really feels like competitive hots is just qwer > qwe, and the game is decided there..
Maybe I need to watch more? But once that advantage is gained... they win a teamfight, gain objectives, and have quite an advantage for the rest of the game..

Definitely one whole team getting ults at the same time ahead of the other is a big advantage but thankfully you can clearly see when this has happened and try to level up your team before smashing your face into the other one. Rocketjump played these junctures quite poorly and that is one of the reasons they lost.

Well.. that is what happened? Dunno about that. From what I saw RJ were really bad at team fighting compared to LE. Like really bad.

From my point of view.. they were bad at teamfighting because they couldnt qwer, and then afterwords, they were all 2+ levels behind. If the other team has better abilities, its hard to teamfight as well as them.
Again, I would like to see more 'professional' teams, but that's what that match looked like.

well since teamfighting was QWER obviously the team that's ahead will win 99% of the time. The second game was a bit more interesting though; it seems like rocket jump vastly underestimated the exp gain from the destroyed building and fell behind in exp. Obviously once that happened LE was just able to force a teamfight and QWER all over them. There did feel like decent strategy and map movement involved during that 2-6 minute period before one team got a big enough advantage.

when I watched the Invitational I felt the same, well after two series I thought the game already ended on the ban and pick phase lol. I undertood more after a while so no game bashing here, was quiet impressed how some teams dodged skills later on. So I guess it helps if you have some more knowledge about the game or if the cast is noob friendly (which non are anymore).
But the 5 ultimates more on our side timing is quite strong, especially since teams get good at forcing a fight at that moment.

no idea who's on Fnatic but I'll take Fnatic over EG in HotS
Fnatic LoL > EG LoL
Fnatic CSGO > *
does HotS have mechanics that can showcase player mechanical skill?
I know LoL does. don't watch DotA but I assume it does as well.
