Does someone knows if Shifter Zerus transforms in the very first turn (when he is already in your hand after mulligan stage) or/and after you just draw it?
Because if he transforms in the beginning of the turn only, then it REALLY sucks to top deck this card.
Edit: Shifter Zerus could be really nice if the owner could stop him for changing in any given turn. Some ppl may argue it would be OP but the true is there are too many bad minions in this game for this card to be consistent, and it still is a dead card till something good is presented (is better to play a strong Legendary instead of waiting for a RNG that you will have only 1 turn window to play)

Edit: Shifter Zerus could be really nice if the owner could stop him for changing in any given turn. He transforms if he's in your starting hand. Only if you draw him does he not transform on a given turn. Also, once you play him, his transformation is for keeps, even if it gets bounced back to your hand.

Sounds interesting. I guess it is more of a control card that gets better the longer it stays in your hand, while having the chance to fill out your curve nicely if you get lucky. Dunno if it warrants a slot though. Really hard to judge this one.
These like the new flex cards seem to try and lower rng by having sth to do every turn, while increasing rng what minion you actually gonna get. Really weird mechanic. Like the new priest flex. Now you wont have a turn where your only play is to hero power but as a drawback to having a good curve you actually get a sub optimal minion (most of the time). I think this is a good way of evening out drawing rng,

It's bad he transforms on 1st Turn too. It could work To contest leper gnomes and other 1 health minions against aggro decks

If what we have heard is correct, only one week left until this expansion is released.
So much stuff I want to experiment with in wild

Apparently no new card reveals until the giant dump on the 21st.
No idea how I'll handle the dump yet

You know what would be cool? If Zerus cost 10. Then it would be perfect for a joust deck. The mana cost really doesn't matter (I really don't think you want to be playing it turn 1), so it would still be useful if it was in your deck.

That's an interesting idea. At 10 mana, the new card that gives you a 10 mana minion from your deck might grab him.
Why not make him 50 mana to get some lols out of Holy Wrath?

Also, if he costed 10, he would look too much like an Old God, which is inappropriate.

Considering around half the cards are going to be commons, I would expect a lot of not-very-flashy cards that serve as the foundation of the set, keep in mind sets now have to be made with one eye on Standard rotation. There's a lot to look forward to, I'm sure, but the second half likely won't be as exciting as the first.

Plus the commons are more important in general really.

I think this set'll be very interesting for this reason alone. If this set fails to impact wild then that kind of kills the format before it starts doesn't it? On the other hand if it's a dub then Standard will also just feel like going back in time and people will just play Wild.
