If you read the first thread, you'll find out he works at Pizza Hut, I don't think fast food places pay all that good especially is the US. If you think his parents are handling it badly wait untill they get involved. Get a blood test on your own and show it to them. If they don't change their thinking at that point, then consider more drastic action, but still try to stay away from child services. Have your doctor give them some kind of message saying you're not on drugs. | ||

I'd suggest the school counselor/teacher/religious figure (if your family is inclined so) approach. Tell them what's going on, and force your parents to have a talk with said adult and you. Then, you can have someone responsible with more social leverage then you do to make a case for you. And you can, from there, discuss more rigorous drug tests in a manner that would benefit your cause. | ||

And i'm guessing Pizza Hut pays out 7$/hour. So he'll either have to drop out, work 40+ hour weeks and make 1-1.5k a month and live in a shithole apartment ruining his life and all hopes of becoming successful and living hte life he was once accostumed to. Or he can stay in school and work 20 hours a week and live off ramen and in a box on the road. The point is, moving out is not an option. And BuGz GTFO and do your work | ||

Make sure while you are explaining to pace around the room while severely shaking and yelling randomly(e.g. "I DIDN'T do drugs UNTIL you STARTED nagging ME so MUCH"), think typical myspace text but alternating capitalized words instead of letters. Breaking a few things always helps. | ||

do your best to convince them that they're wrong. and don't let them run away from the argument. that's the easiest way out for them. tell them in the case of them trying to avoid deep two-sided discussion about it, that nothing is known until it's reasoned out and it's especially unfair of them not to give you a chance to proove them wrong. especially if it's not even a proof of words but undeniable physical evidence that you're not doing drugs. be honest and don't exagerate, truth seems to be on your side and you don't want to be unreasonable like them. don't give up too easily any more than you'd let them, press on and make them feel stupid and irrational, it's what they seem to deserve. | ||

I'm sure there are other jobs. He can also find flatmates. He doesn't have to rent by himself. I have a friend who came to Australia from Dubai and finished AND PAID for his university degree. He was on approx $17-$20 an hour at any one time (which translates to about $10-$13 U.S. back then) worked 40 hour weeks and finished university going to lectures 30 hours a week. It can be done. It'll put steel in your balls and hair on your chest. It's WAY LESS damaging to move out. Your psyche will be RUIIIIIIINED by your parents. RUINED. Trust me. I have overly critical parents and it shits all over your head. It's way worse than scraping by. Now, I'm not saying this is the option you SHOULD take. But, try it. See if u got what it takes to be a man. People have done way more at a younger age in third world countried and survived. I'm sure u can survive living in america trying to complete highschool. Anyways, extreme, but extremely life changing. I hope your parents don't drive u crazy enough to HAVE to move out. I hope u do it on your own terms. EDIT: not that this post should be about me, but I don't talk shit without backing it up. I moved out of my parent's house because they drove me crazy. I lived on the dole (social security payments) with a bunch of other dudes managing to ration $200 a week to pay for EVERYTHING. School doesn't cost you money, you can make your own food and you can split rent with someone. Education, food and a roof over your head. That's all you need to live in this world. Eventually, things will get easier. That's why you educate yourself. All successful people start at the very bottom. Again, this is so extreme, I understand. However, your mother is taking it to the EXTREMEST EXTREME she possibly can. This is fucking insane. Just coz someone birthed you doesn't mean they can control you. Anyone can give birth. It's overrated. | ||

But my answer was a "no?", he opened a piece of paper my mom had put the leaves in it and asked me whats this. I replied I don't know (which wasn't too smart), he replied it was in your pocked. I said, "probably leaves from yesterday, I stole a flower and put it in my pocked". He then procceeded TO SMOKE THE LEAVES! I couldn't stop laughing he rolled it up just like a pro and light it up!! I asked him if his ever done that before, because he looked nostalgic to him. We then stepped into an awkward moment and I then went back up stairs and came back in 5 minutes or so. I asked him how the drugs were treating him, but he didn't reply. The entire day we didn't really talk, but things went back to normal the following day. And that was my parents tought I was on drugs story.  ahh, this is a good idea. Just e-mail them this thread. | ||
