In Oregon we have a fast food place called "Burgerville". Kinda a local chain. A part of their union negotiations was to include a tipping option for all orders. It had existed for a year or 2 but recently finally got removed from everyone complaining. Being shamed into tipping for a burger via drive through was the straw that broke Oregon's back with this issue. Its the only example I can think of where tipping was removed.

Work where everyone is paid based on the employers chosen productivity metrics and employees being tipped for "more productivity". Overtime doesn't functionally exist anymore because double time on $2.13 is only $4.13. Working past your 40 hours becomes perversely motivated and society suffers as a result. Deliciously dystopian. Could be several hundreds of billions of dollars wasted just to appease one single idiot at the top.

This was one of his major selling points on campaign, so i assume that a lot of the people who voted for trump didn't do this despite of this, but because of it.

People have had more than a decade to find out what kind of person trump is. Casually collecting bribes and selling merch isn't a surprise anymore it's just his brand.

I don't care they were to stupid to see this coming, they voted for this shit and until it happens to someone they personally care about they will be fine with it.

If you didn't think you were getting a president who would rather laugh outside the cages of his new concentration camp instead of going to the funeral for an assassinated politician thats on you at this point not trump. People have had more than a decade to find out what kind of person trump is. Casually collecting bribes and selling merch isn't a surprise anymore it's just his brand. I enjoy the duality. People who insist they are totally smart and vote for Trump for entirely valid reasons will say they like Trump having tough messaging on a topic. Asked if they agree with what he says, they are quick to roll their eyes, smirk, and calmly explain its actually just political negotiation to redefine the conversation. Then when he does that thing, these totally reasonable trump voters explain how they themselves are a baboon and can't control how they react to democrat messaging or policies. They provide a detailed explanation how democrats have direct control over the thoughts and feelings of trump voters and are thus entirely responsible for the situation.

For what it’s worth all illegal immigrants should be deported (humanely to their country of citizenship). There shouldn’t be a underclass of exploitable labourers without rights or legal recourse. If it turns out that the economy depends on their labour then that is something that should be dealt with by congress, not simply by failing to enforce laws. A common sense approach to illegal immigration cannot start “we’ll have one set of laws, another set of policies, and they should be wholly incompatible”.

Federal LEO is already able to share DOD assets so they don't need money for armored cars as much as for more officers, agents, and judges.
