The hp is exponential, and for just quantity of hp increase per level, it goes up exponentially as well. The amount of money one gets only goes up linearly. The only way to keep up with the level is to upgrade towers, since upgrading gives serious damage/$ ratio that is larger than 1.25. If you are just massing towers, converting linear income into linear damage, you will lose. Try to get the third up to the 3k tower. Overall a game that can be played on excel. The different tower types are not special at all, sucky.

cannon tower lvl 1 and 2 are pretty crappy, so I'm assuming you have to have lvl 3 in order to survive.

But 23k gold takes like the first 75 levels cumulative to get, so if you killed everything and spent no money, then you could get it...

basic math and intuition yields this for me:

then upgrade the green to full. This will hit the enemies at almost all points. and 2375 money for 9000 dmg. the blues are only 2/3 that for 115 less gold. I'd keep massing maxed green in the middle, but I keep having them dissapear.

Also, a maxed flower = 90,090 for 23,000
10 maxed green tower = 90,000 for 23,750

theres one thing though, a tower positioned so that it will fire in a straight line is much more effective than say a tower placed in the middle of somewhere. maybe an exception would be the blue tower, since it's got such an insanely huge range

Hurricane's and IntoTheWow's analysis was really helpful. I used the Excel sheet and added two more columns, one for damage/cost and another for overall efficiency (damage/cost + range, which seemed easiest for simplicity). Doing this yielded Green 8 as the most effective cannon (with level 8 being the highest), with Cannon 1 being the second. Next were Blue 8 and 9, which were almost equally good.

By the way, does anyone have info on the cannons for levels 8, 9, and 10? Damage, total cost, and range please.

blue = 73xx dmg, 300 range, and 3360 money
red = useless, the range is WAY too small and the rate of fire is no faster than the others from what I've found.

and also, the flower lvl 1 range is too smal to compare to lvl 8 green.

you can get to lvl ~30 or more with just 1 blue tower upgraded to the max in the middle of the map

from then on saving up for flower tower is easy but you still cant save up 15k, and obviously making more towers of different types wont make that easier

i can get to lvl 70 with 1 blue and then flower cannons but they suck, too slow fire rate and low range... blue in the middle is the best but you wont get far with just blue either

hmm i used blue at first but i just tried mass green in mid and got to 78. Green just has so much more dmg output and when put in the middle they can still attack almost all of the screen.
