Working out your body like this is not good at such a young age. Your body needs to delop properly, and stuff like this can stunt your growth and cause other problems.

Math #1 ((9.8N * 30Kg) * 0.5M) * 9 = 1323 Joules per pushup at a normal person's efficency of 10%. 1323J * 50 pushups/min = 66150 Joules/minute 1 joule = 0.00239 Calories 66150 * 0.00239 = 158.09 calories/minute 158.09 Cal * 200 minutes = 31618 Calories or 3161800 calories (small C) 31618 calories / 2500 calories = 12.64 lbs of weight lost (1 lb of fat = 2500 calories) More Math it takes 1 calorie (little C) to raise 1 gram of water 1 degree C. 3161800 calories / (36 Kg * 1000) = 878.2 degrees C Even More math 1 watt = 1 joule/second 66150 Joules/minute / 60 = 1102.5 watts So if he did 10,000 pushups he would have lost about 12.64 lbs of body mass in that 200 minutes. Also, his body produced the equivelent of 3.3 kilowatt hours of electricity. My house uses less. Assuming his body is 100% water, that is enough calories to raise the tempeature of 30Kg of water by 878.2 degrees.

In fact, with his compact size, I doubt he would burn that many calories in 20 minutes, though that range is far more probable than your original estimate. His range of motion is short and his bodyweight is low, so it isn't nearly as exertive as your guess implies. High intensity cardio would be necessary in order for me to burn 160 calories in 10 minutes, and I'm literally 3x his size!

You might stunt your growth by putting too much strain on your body while training at a young age. However, the muscle already built will cause no harm. Math #1 ((9.8N * 30Kg) * 0.5M) * 9 = 1323 Joules per pushup at a normal person's efficency of 10%. 1323J * 50 pushups/min = 66150 Joules/minute 1 joule = 0.00239 Calories 66150 * 0.00239 = 158.09 calories/minute 158.09 Cal * 200 minutes = 31618 Calories or 3161800 calories (small C) 31618 calories / 2500 calories = 12.64 lbs of weight lost (1 lb of fat = 2500 calories) I believe one pound of fat is equal to 3500 KILOcalories, not 2500 calories, so assuming the rest of your calculations are completely correct, that would change the result significantly. (As on foods and such, i believe 'calories' refer implicitly to 'kilocalories') Even if my above assertion is incorrect, the figures you came up with seem absurd, and I'm quite certain that the world record for nonstop pushups is indeed above 10k

China is fucked up though. When i went over there to play basketball i saw the team we were going to face warm up by running "lines" 3-4 times until nearly everyone was puking. The 6'10 guy ( guessing ) finished last so they made him do it another 3-4 times by himself... I got fucking sick just watching them. Not to mention it was over 100 degrees farenheit with 100% humidity.

I do around 500 a day (not as strict) but in larger quantities[/QUOTE] That won't really burn fat. For that you want an elevated heart rate of about 150 (since your young) for 30 minutes, and the HR has to be constant so things like pushups wouldnt work if you did a variety of those excercises. In most cases it is barely more than subtracting the calories you burn while doing it so you are really better off just eatting less than doing the excercise (if your goal is fat burning only). The exception is if you do it first thing in the morning, than you will burn fat very well (and dont eat for like 30 mins~ after you finish). I believe this is because in the morning there is a carry over from what goes on in sleep where your body only uses fat for energy (thats why you shouldn't cancel out that time by having midnight snacks). The next best way is muscle building excercises. It increases your metabolism for a long time after the work out and more muscle means a permanent higher metabolism. I'm pretty sure those excercises won't build muscle. It appears you already built muscle and now you maintain it. If 500 is what you do for crunches than you must be doing the crunches wrong like most people. You shouldn't swing yourself like a door hinge you should crunch your chest from both ends like an accordion and just do a small number, like 20. And you can add weight if it is too easy. And lastly, it is pointless to work out the same muscle group more than two times a week (unless you're doing it for fun or something), it won't help.

I do 150 crunches and i try to do them in the best form possible. I do 50 to right 50 to left and 50 to the middle getting both shoulders off the ground holding it and than slowly going back down. Burns like a mother fucker afterwards. I will try and get my lazy ass motivated to do em first thing in the morning as what you said sounds nice. I do 500 push ups in 2-3 different sessions throughout the day so intervals of like 150 or so.. i find it to be very nice and because im a larger guy it actually gets my heart rate up nicely. Im also running a mile a day and building up speed / distance. I think all the things together will do nicely. I recently broke up with my gf so Im doing these things to get my mind elsewhere and make myself proud again. Id talk more about it but in reality it hurts so fucking bad to even think about it, so i will only mention this is my motivation to drive to the track everyday.

Maybe it would be better to do 650 one day and rest the other :D

I do 50 to right 50 to left and 50 to the middle getting both shoulders off the ground holding it and than slowly going back down. Burns like a mother fucker afterwards. You know that technique where you kinda keep your chin up while you do your crunches? Try that itll hurt more....also, try to limit your situps to 20-30, if its too easy do em REAL slow.

any ways. i saw the docu on that. a lot of his pushups were cheating pushups, anyone who has done more than 200 knows what cheating pushups are. but still, for his age that is amazing. also the fact that his bones and his body is a lot lighter at his age does contribute but still amazing.
