Anyway, the age gap is overstated. This was about England and Wales against London and Scotland. The english ppl are sick of being ruled by ppl who doesn't serve their interests. That's what this was about. The EU is not only to blame, but they were part of the problem. I was a brexit advocate first and foremost because it was a step towards decentralization, towards more self-autonomy. This vote will give the british ppl more control over their own lives. But on top of that it's so satisfying to see the establishment, the EU/globalism advocates, the Londoners, and Cambridge/Oxford elite get slapped in the face. How's your democracy working for you now that you no longer get your way? Now you know how it feels to be ruled by others. Hopefully this can teach the bremainers a lesson or two about democracy, and why centralized pseudo democracy is a bad thing. If you had more regional autonomy, then every region could have decided for themselves if they wanted to be part of the EU. Scotland may hold another election for indepedence, just to get back into the EU. The fact that this election was so polarized regionally, that itself shows that leaving the EU was the right choice. If the UK can't get along on policies because they have so drastically different views in the different regions, then why in the world should something as big as the EU get to dictate their policies? This is a great day for liberty, and I think it's only the beginning. I'm convinced that we will see more countries leaving in the near future. I've been on board the Flexit (har har come on let's do this Florida just for the name...the pun can't be stopped) train for a long time now. Then again, I'm probably one of the few folks who are proponents of decentralization to city-states. Good on the British, now, hopefully those Scots leave the UK, and Quebec leaves Canada, Catalonia leaves Spain, northern Italy leaves Italy, etc. Political units are best suited at the local level to most match the needs and values of its constituents.

Haha what a sausage but it another reason that the UK is deemed a whole and that IF Scotland really want to leave it so badly they will shoot themselves in the foot in doing so, we are definitely better as one giant rock than tiny little ones no one gives a crap about.

40% of Scottish people voted to leave the EU It's actually 37-38% - for every person in scotland that voted to leave, 1.65 people voted to stay.

This petition has popped asking for a second vote on the referendum as it is "so close" and such a big decision, plus some out voters might be thinking, oh shit what have i done the £ has died and our prime minister is running away xD The Government website page received more than 80,000 signatures - with nearly 10,000 in just one hour. It crashed as you can gather ![]() 16,141,241 In Votes -- 17,410,742 Out Votes I actually think this even worst when it is so close and such a huge decision ![]()

One million votes is not a small margin of votes. Montenegro split from Serbia in 2006 with 55% voting 'for' in the referendum. Rules are rules.

But hey, once a demagogue, always a demagogue. It'll be hilarious when it turns out that the UK will not be allowed to access the common market if it refuses to keep its borders open.

This is the perfect outcome for those people.

Seemed pretty final to me if it goes down the way it went down

But hey, once a demagogue, always a demagogue. It'll be hilarious when it turns out that the UK will not be allowed to access the common market if it refuses to keep its borders open. Thats why it will keep its borders open....the decision changes nothing apart from we won't have this massive bill in the eyes of politicians and do not have to answer to EU High Court that is the only thing that pisses politicians off. A politician gives no toot about immigration and just hid behind that fact to put the vote to a win imo at least. All that changes is UK will not have to answer/follow EU decisions but will stay pay money into it for trade purposes. Yet the voters never got to see that side nor did Cameron make that case or any cases to that extent, he handled it badly as he thought people understood and cared for the economy, some did but i would the bracket of under 30s did where the over 30s are closest racists and decided they didn't understand the economy and "don't want no immigrants tekkin r jobz". Literally a South Park episode going on in UK right now Boris is Cartman?

By the way, France will surely renegociate the treaty of Le Touquet, in fact we could rip it off and let migrants flow by the tunnel because we're done dealing with those in place of the UK. So expect a little more efforts from the UK to deal with the migrants in a close future. Well according to Macron a few months ago letting all the migrants in Britain is what is supposed to happen now that Brexit happened. I don't know why you guys are so convinced that the EU will keep letting the UK enjoy the benefits of being part of a common market while no longer fulfilling any of the obligations that such a thing entails. Out is out. You voted, you now get to swallow the consequences. In the best scenario you will be given the same deal as Norway has now, which is far inferior to the one you've got at present. Juncker just said that there will be no re-negotiation of Britain's membership of the EU.
