yeah, but the earth is around 150,000,000 km from the sun so by the time a solar flare reaches earth it's just a bunch of charged particles. The idea that he would "burn up" is ridiculous.

They are talking about the pressure in the capsule. He's currently at 100k feet pressure, and needs to get to 128k (where he is at)
