And also posing a follow-up question: Will PBS do a full-time cover-type show or did you just mean that they will post news updates every hour or something? For most news outlets this will be a marathon, I can't imagine PBS doing anything different. There is no escaping it today.

The site has a live blog so there will be updates going on at the same time, judging by my TV schedule, that they will be doing live coverage on TV which should also be streamed online from 8pm ET to midnight.

I recently saw a video where someone interviewed random ppl on the street about some "Romney Facts" on what he wants to do, but the catch was that it actually wasnt what he wanted to do, it was what Obama actually already did, I remember 1 of them was the enlengthening of the Patriot Act, I have no link and I cant find it anymore ;< (if someone can, plx link it ;D)

This will kind of hurt his voting presence here in Michigan. Kind of surprises me he didn't get on the ballot in Michigan, but after some googling turns out he was not allowed to by a judge Article.http://www.wzzm13.com/news/article/224916/2/Libertarian-presidential-candidate-not-on-Michigan-ballot Michigan state law prevents it as he apparently ran as a Republican in the Michigan primary. Long line is preventing some people from voting in such a swing state. I don't understand how that happens when election date is pre-set since like 100 years ago. Some states are so much better in running voting stations? **Florida should be able to. Each state is responsible for that individually, while lines seem generally longer today I am taking it as a good indication of turn out this year.

Some states are so much better in running voting stations? You can vote absentee ballot. You can do early voting. Or you can vote on election day, which is a 13 hour window at least in my state. And employers are mandated by law to give their employees time to vote. The system is fine, what you are seeing is the consequences of procrastination.

It make sense that some people think that massively reducing the deficit quickly is bad, that we should do it slowly, and that not all cuts are good, which is what you're basically saying. But the logic leading that person to believe that massively cutting the deficit in the short term is bad for the economy, also implies that increasing the deficit in the short term is good for the economy. Therefore, the hypocritical Republican position I'm talking about is believing: 1) Hitting the fiscal cliff is bad because it massively reduces the deficit through spending and tax cuts while the economy is still in a recession. 2) A large increase to the deficit by increasing spending in a recession will stimulate the economy. Simultaneously holding both beliefs makes no sense to me. I can't speak for all Republicans but most aren't anti-stimulus so much anti-Obama's stimulus. The ARRA was the Democrat's legislation and Republican's didn't like its composition and so they opposed it. Since then the message has devolved a bit from criticism over a specific stimulus to criticism of stimulus. But I think that's more of a dumbing down of the rhetoric than a real change in policy.

Even RCP has Obama winning all battleground states except NC and FL, that's 305 EV for Obama. And I believe this is the most likely outcome. The next most likely outcome is probably as above but with Obama winning FL instead. Nate Silver puts the probability of Obama winning FL as exactly 50% currently. It would be a nice surprise but I don't think people realize how conservative Florida is (not even counting Scott as governor). The Democrats haven't held majority in the state House or Senate since Clinton and on this ballot it shows with three very conservative amendments up for vote. One is for a state repeal of Obamacare (From what I've heard this wouldn't actually repeal anything and just make a statement about what Florida wants). Another is for a state ban on funding for abortions/funding for healthcare that covers abortions except in the case of rape/incest/life of mother and would overturn court rulings which would limit the right to privacy to not exceed whatever the US constitution says (i.e. if Roe v Wade ever got overturned they could ban abortions). The third one is on religious freedom and would overturn the ban on state funding/benefits/other support to religious organizations except as mandated by the US Constitution. If the race is close it seems like Obama has a shot but its hard to see him overcoming how Republican leaning we've been without a crazy turnout like in 08.

Good on you for voting Johnson, I don't support the man myself but I am thinking of voting for Stein in a similar effort. There is no way my state doesn't go for Obama this year anyway.
