My way of making ramen using Shin-ramen:

1. Pot of cold water and turn on heat
2. Add kim-chi
3. Add dried-seaweed
4. Add noodles when mixture comes to boil
5. Add seasoning
6. Add egg when noodles are done and turn off heat

Yeah that is what I have been doing as well, I think that it really lowers your sodium intake since those instant Ramen dishes are ridiculously high in sodium. Didn't think about it that way before, makes me feel not as bad to eat it now

Go to the indian spice market - get the red chili powder they make - for some reason I feel theirs is unique/different in taste. Maybe add an egg. Low on the water. Perfection

For the insta-noodles that are already salted, I like to dilute the noodles twice. For those that come with seasoning packages, I just sprinkle the broth.

I sometimes make ramen this way, dunno if it's been mentioned yet.

1. Cook noodles as usual in boiling water.
2. Transfer to bowl when done.
3. Pour out almost all the water/broth from the bowl. Leave maybe 1 tablespoon or so.
4. Add seasoning, and mix the noodles!
5. Results in most of the seasoning flavour straight on the noodles instead of mixed with broth.
6. Add other stuff as you see fit. I sometimes add a pan-fried egg, if I'm not feeling lazy.

Regarding the high sodium intake, I tend to only use about 40-50% of the bag that comes with it, sometimes less. The entire bag makes it waaaay too salty.

I like to add eggs and tuna to mine. Helps make it a little more healthy as it is not so carb loaded of a meal.

Try to add carrots, sliced into thin strips. Adds color and sweetness and bite, if you want crunch.

Neoguri seafood flavor ramen, seaweed, green onion, fried fish balls, dried shrimp, green onion, sesame seeds, dash of sesame oil. Was out of eggs

Eaten with sriracha and a pitcher of chilled green tea.

Made the broth from 2 pigs feet, some pork leg bones, and chicken bones and pressure cooked for 2 hours. Ramen was store bought chuka soba, forgot the brand. Meat is pork butt marinated in mirin, soy sauce, sake, sugar, ginger. Fucking delicious, had it 2 nights in a row. You know the broth is good when it turns into a gelatinous block in the refrigerator.

Sweet jesus that looks amazing, I wish that I had the patients to cook stuff like that ~_~
All I can muster is standard instant ramen with an egg and sriracha.

My favorite is seafood ramen. You can use either the kimchi or seafood flavored shin ramen brand. First, cook ramen, then add spinach or baby bokchoy. Then add cubed pieces of fish you can buy from the super market, and finally add 2 whisked eggs. Cook until the soup is reduced and you have amazingly soft ramen that smells like heaven.

I remember when I primarily ate shin ramen and jjappagetti over a period of a week. I did not feel good by the end of it.

As always, everything in moderation. Even ramen.

I'm making this right now.

1. Two packs of Maruchan Beef Ramen
2. One egg
3. Three leafs of dried sea-weed
4. Slices of rotisserie turkey
5. Sri-racha

Strain the cheap ass noodles, save some boiled water for broth. FLASH COOL those noodles! Bath them in cold water! It stops the cooking, and seals the noodles for a great texture!

All with a nice glass of apple cider.
