poor college kid here so my ramen usually consists of ramen with a bit of butter, grated parmesan, a splash of soy sauce and whatever hot sauce I have at the time. If I have leftover cooked real food or I want to make it a meal and not a snack I'll drop the soy and got sauce and throw in leftover meats or sautee some veggies to mix in with it.

today at work ( i work in a thai restaurant) and my manager was making some ramen for herself. i made the comment that "i love ramen" so she gave me some. but here's the thing. the ramen she gave me was RAW.

fucking raw.

is that a thing people do? raw ramen? i had no words...

Shin Ramyun's spice eaten raw makes my face turn completely red and its salty as hell lol. I do like the crunch of raw noodles from the packages though (Koreans actually made a snack called Ppushu Ppushu which is basically meant to be eaten raw and has a couple of different flavored packets)

I like to eat the noodles that broke off and stayed in the bottom of the bag but beyond that I have not eaten raw ramen since like grade 5, its just so much better cooked!

i actually really like to undercook my ramen by most people's standards. Though sometimes I do have it just raw with some seasoning, it really is like chips . But I cook it until it's nolonger crunchy but still fairly... undercooked? Mainly cause then if i take my time eating it, it's still noodles and really my experience eating really nice pulled noodles are about the same texture and its really nice :3

Would sriracha be necessary since there is already kimchi and spicy flavor? I do agree with the beef though. I think I'll pick up some beef flank tomorrow. I also have some cucumber, onion and ginger. I like cucumber in my ramen. I'll char some onion and ginger and toss that in as well.

daikon raddish is actually very nice in a ramen, especially the spicey korean variant.
I think siracha is overrated.

Siracha is overrated but I think its in the same away as Pepperoni is overrated. Its just an ubiquitous thing at this point.

I've been having a lot of tasty times by mixing peanut butter into my ramen recently. It adds a really nice color with Siracha and some cheese I get from my relatives coop.
