I've never been into a bar, much less drank much of anything other than an occasional beer (and that was last summer) until just this last semester (spring semester, im 23), and it really didn't seem all that exciting, I dunno. It seemed no different than going out with people at a different location. I've never been asked funny questions, i just take it out of my wallet, hand it to them, and life goes on. I already fairly "cheap" when it comes to money... wasting money on alcohol, especially in a bar, just doesn't seem to bring much value that fun goodies and toys do (games, gadgets, computers, etc -- and yeah, tastes vary, but still.. some do music, clothes, photography, art, furniture, cars... it goes on). Even when i was in highschool, it didn't even cross my mind, though granted none of my friends ever went "out" either, it was just much better to do stuff at each other's houses, and it still didn't involve drinking. It's all just the fun and games of peer pressure, either put on by "friends", who may not have your best interests in mind, or society at large, in which case, you aren't making decisions for yourself anymore. If anything, i believe that most of the actions taken while under the influence is largely under your control, its a placebo that gives you the excuse to act stupid, even though you have every ability to not... I am certainly aware that it degrades your mental status, alcohol is a 'poison' / depressant afterall, but not in that way.. the drunk driving way when you want to fall asleep and cannot focus. but in the end, everyone can do whatever they want, just be ready to accept the consequences of your actions (both good and bad). There are basically three reasons to drink: 1) Social lubricant, buzz, relaxing, etc... Barely any _young_ people actually drink for this reason, even though it is the "best" reason to drink, and usually goes along with moderation. 2) Excuse to be a shitfaced moron 3) Girls will have sex with people they barely know when they're drunk #2 and #3 are basically frats in a nutshell, lol. One or the other is almost always behind young people drinking.

I think it's enough to go with the odds on this one. Can't imagine why it was so important that they were delaying medical care to ask his name though.

If they ask for further ID, tell them you only brought your ID and some cash.

I agree entirely there's probably a lot less of those, and certainly not enough to expect it, but actually depending on what's on the ID, it could matter a lot. Don't know what all various places stick on their ID's though.

They weren't withholding medical care...just screamed at him when he woke up. Probably had something to do with laws requiring hospitals to report shit to proper authorities or something, I don't know. Just thought it was pretty funny. Another time, another guy on my floor was out at a nearby restaurant and a plainclothes police officer saw him using a fake, so he went over to look at it and the dude ran from the restaurant and hid in his room, 30 minutes later cops showed up and arrested him.

Also don't look like an obvious oily faced teen. They aren't going to report you with a fake ID, they'll just deny service. Just leave.

1.Know the information on there. If its a good fake, as long as you can confidently relay that info in response to questions, your golden. 2. Confidence is very important. Act pissed off when they question it, get annoyed when they seem suspicious. Act comfortable. Be 21. 3. My ID could scan so my back up plan was to tell them to fucking scan it and quit playing games. Having a good backup plan never hurts. 4. If your caught, be cool about it but focus on getting your ID back no matter what. I got caught a number of times but was able to be friendly about it and got my ID back until I fucked up in a liquor store when I was 20. I still was able to be friendly with the clerk so he didn't report me. It mostly boils down to people skills. Knowing when to put on an act and how to back out of bad situations and KEEPING YOUR COOL are most vital to having a fake ID Edit: Also, bars are expensive when your under 21 and don't have much disposable income. Its far cheaper to buy a 30 rack and get shitfaced with a few friends

Eye colour. Lots of people match hair colour without making sure the eye colour is believable, this happens a lot with people passing IDs to one another, impossible to check for if it's a proper fake ID, by which I mean your picture with information that isn't yours. Postal/ZIP Code. Know it, and be able to deliver it fast. If you're slow and stuttering it won't work, if you think you won't be able to do this then think up a back story which could potentially explain why you don't know or are slow delivering you ZIP code. "I just moved here and haven't memorized it yet". It probably won't work but it's a better shot than nothing. Same goes for middle name. Make sure you can pronouce your last name. (lol) as a bouncer you see a lot of names and get a general sence as to how they are pronounced. example: Eucher is pronoucnced U-Ker and not Uch-er or U-cher, and certainly not - as one guy tried to convince me - pronounced E-UK-er Best advice is both posts above mine, be the part, look the part

One or the other is almost always behind young people drinking. I don't think you have a very good grasp of fraternity life.... That being said, where I'm from they don't ask you anything but "Let me see another form of ID". If you have one you're almost golden. At least in Athens. Once when I was out of town trying to get into a bar a little bit too drunk the guy asked me my address, and I spouted out every piece of info on the card, date of birth, expiration date, everything. What a fail.

Many have scanners/ tags that would be very hard to replicate by some basement ID copier. My friend trained as a security guard and a huge part of the course is basically recognizing fake ids on the spot. I just got back from Vegas and they didn't even use scanners... I think if Vegas doesn't bother, most places wont. Just turned 21, and I was asked a lot of those questions as well even though they were all legit answers lol.
