According to what I could find in google, the oldest document in the states that isn't public domain is from 1755, it is a letter from John Adams to Nathan Webb. The Massachusetts Historical Society owns the copyright to that.
Seems like other, older examples are few and far between though.

It appears to be quite complicated, but in general,
"The claim that "pre-1923 works are in the public domain" is correct only for published works; unpublished works are under federal copyright for at least the life of the author plus 70 years."
"In most other countries that are signatories to the Berne Convention, copyright term is based on the life of the author, and extends to 50 or 70 years beyond the death of the author. (See List of countries' copyright length.)"
according to wikipedia.

I'm looking for a game called Fantasy Realms. It looks like this:
+ Show Spoiler +
It was originally created for Palm Pilot and I'm wondering if there's a version for iPhone or Mac?

How long does caffeine tolerance take to go away? If I quit coffee cold turkey for, say, a month would my first cup afterward be like old times? I currently am on my fourth large mug of the day and I've only been up for 7 hours but I'm yawning like I'm halfway through an all-night LAN
|
So that's going to depend on the length of your habit, your overall intake frequency, what sort of drinks you specifically consume and in what quantities, stuff like that. I quit off a 10 year+ serious caffeine dependance about 3 years ago because of caffeine costochondritis, which is a nasty little thing that still bothers me. Anyways, took me about 2 months to start really feeling normal again. The hangover feeling you'll get is not going to be great if you're consumption has been considerable.

So I didn't start drinking coffee until I turned 20, 5 years ago, and since then the habit has gotten progressively worse. What constitutes serious dependency? On a normal day where I'm not actively trying to stay up late by chugging coffee I probably have about 10 cups a day if I were to pour all the drive-thru coffees and americanos into one container with my morning cups

Espresso, in your Americanos out does your normal cuppa by a fair bit in terms of caffeine though.

lol I would suggest you try to wean yourself off gradually because if you quit cold turkey, you'll be in for a pretty nasty bout of fatigue, problems focusing, maybe some sweating. Good luck

Coffee isn't a long terms solution to not sleeping enough...
In general, tired and coffee don't cancel out, they just make you tired and hyperactive at the same time, which may sometimes feel like, but isn't the same as being well rested. You notice the difference especially when you are trying to do something that requires thinking. Or more likely, you'll notice it the day after when it turns out that what you did yesterday was crap.

The physical dependance on caffeine goes away pretty quickly after quitting (2-4 weeks), however tolerance can take quite some time to recede and depends on a lot more than just quitting the caffeine. The usual suspects healthy nutrition and lifestyle, quality sleep, exercise all help.
If you are looking to get more bang for your cup, I'd suggest quitting cold turkey for up to a month to get rid of dependance first (this part will suck). Then go back into moderate consumption, meaning 1 cup per day, with exceptions only for when you really need the push. That should make that extra shot of espresso way more effective when you actually need it.

This is completely misleading. No shit for the same amount of volume, pure espresso has massively more caffeine than coffee. Nobody goes and fucking chugs 26 ounces of espresso. A shot of espresso is one ounce, one.
For Starbucks for example:
A 16 ounce drip coffee has 330mg of caffeine. A 16 ounce latte has 150mg A 16 ounce Americano has 225mg.

Holy shit and I thought I was drinking a lot of coffee with 5-7 cups a day xD

Two questions:
1) How do you form saxon genitive with double names? Es. The house of Mike and June = Mike's and June's house? or you just put the 's in the first name?
2) Why don't australia and new zealand use british pounds, since they are part of the commonwealth?
|
1) In English we say "Mike and June's house." Not sure if that's what you meant (English/Anglish/Anglo-Saxon?)
2) The Commonwealth is 50-some countries. They do not have currency union. It's like how NATO or the OAS don't have common currencies. As the world is now learning, currency union without fiscal union is a bad idea. This way, India can fuck up fiscal policy and the UK doesn't have to bail them out, and visa versa.

"Mike and June's house" in your case (they live together) "Mike's and June's houses" if they have each their own.

Eurozone = lots of heads of state, 1 common currency Commonwealth = 1 common head of state, lots of different currencies

Nah, no Head of State in France: We behead our leaders (which sometimes shows, when they need to use their brain or their mouth for example), so the heads should be in a basket somewhere ...
The "Head of State" title was last held by the last king (1840-1848).
