see, you defend the ways american policies are implemented, i.e. "we impose our vision of right and wrong on everyone we think is wrong" while i support the idea behind the american policies, i.e. "we should make the world a better place for people."
Given that it's still war between South and North Korea (a war that North Korea started) it's pretty natural that US, being an ally of South Korea, has sanctions against North Korea.
