yea.... pad is just natural for me.... my execution is shit garbage when i use stick ive also officially given up on ranked matches..... the quitting is ridiculous especially in the 3KBP+ we gotta play again sometime dude.... even thou i hate rogvsrog

rofl bill thats ridiculous. Ya Windsor sucks hard but I figured there would be some people in Detroit who play. I looked around the Michigan thread a little but didn't see anything useful. I know a couple guys at my university who play so I think I can birth a local scene eventually. The university is right next to the bridge so travel from/to Detroit is mega easy.

I live in the GTA and Hamilton is a bit far,( T.T i don't drive), any idea of lans here?
i am blowing my cash on a pc tomorrow, but after that next new acquisition will be a ps3 and SF4, sadly fighting games require consoles XD
SO in roughly 2-3weeks i will be ready to get owned. and if i improve anything ^ ^ i will probably getting an arcade stick 1-2 week(s) after initial purchase.
edit :im an idiot XD If you don't have a PS3 yet and sf4 is what'd make you buy it, you may rather just wait for sf4 for pc before making such a big investment. I mean, I'd love to have another tler on the psn, but you would probably end up hating fighters in general if you made such a big investment and weren't happy with it
LOL too late. since where i was gonna buy the PC parts was closed today, i blew my cash on Ps3 and SF4 XD
I started with hardest, and got to the 3rd round without dieing, but then got raped steadily for 2 hours.
then switched to easy and beat everyone up to seth without dieing, and then i got raped by him 6 times, after which i decided it was time to stop for today before i get obsessed on the first day. I will be brushing up on theory and tricks of the trade.
it has officially dawned on me that i suck, and this will take time, but the game has me enthralled, so i am happy.
I used ryu the whole time, and chun li once (i sucked really bad with her).
I will only show my face on psn after i can beat arcade on hardest steadily, so it may be a while XD, unless of course someone explains to me it is unwise.

You don't need to beat arcade mode on hardest to play online. Have you ever seen the video of OTK, Pachi and Kyokogendo playing CPU bosses? They all got rocked hardcore. If you play the CPU alot you might be learning bad habits that will never happen or translate versus real people.

Eh you will get better faster imo if you play better players. Just watching what they do can give you inspiration. Ex: they walk up throw you 5x you may start to walk up throw people. Computers are good for reflex trainning but they dont fight like real people fight. Do both I say.
Play vs people here for practice.

Play vs people here for practice. I suck, i mean i lost 3rd round hardest 17354 times, i need reflex training, but i understand where you and saya are coming from, so i guess ill just stick to arcade till i can do decent combos on hardest?
i just really don't want to suck up the net. it's not about records, they mean nothing
thanks.

Think about practicing in BW, it's the same thing. If you really want to do combos, get them down in training mode then play online. You say its not about the records yet you don't want to suck online. Lol.

i don't know how fast, or effective the matching up in psn is, but if it's anything like dow2 the time wasted waiting for a game, just to have some guy who can't focus cancel into any combo, is a pain to say the least.
and i prefer to lose a good game then to win a bad one.
|
Uh. If thats the truth, then the game actually goes faster cause he's just gonna press buttons and kill you. lol. Not iccup where you play 10 minute games. Also, theres the freakin arcade mode thing, where you play arcade and people can challenge you. so you can be fucking like mashing on cpus then play a guy and you have the option to quit after every match. So its like if you dont know, try it once.

dude why do you even care, I went and played online matches the first day I got the game. No one is going to care if you aren't an expert...
sounds like your just afraid of losing or you do care about your record, even though you claim you don't... otherwise why would you avoid playing online completely..

I'm probably in the minority but I was really hoping MvC2 would just quietly die on its own so people would move on to games I actually play

The PS2 version with its "bugfixes" is vastly different. It's practically a different game.
Edit: shouldn't this discussion be in the OFGMV topic?

They are. Mr. Wiz said "We won't be using the ps2 or xbox versions(of mvc2). I will also be throwing all the dreamcasts in a pile and burning them before evo".

It won't. People will always come back to it every now and then, because its just that good.
