At that point I heard that tofu was at 25% shields or so and I had noticed that links were in my system (the wrong system). I decided to try and save myself (pretty sure I'd be 99% dead if I had jumped through as well) and as I aligned back to my safe I took a few potshots at the falcon that then started to burn back to gate and jump through.
I chose to save myself instead of risking 2 losses. At a fight like this that doesn't go the way we want, someone will be made a scapegoat and I was it this time for doing something the FC hadn't ordered. To the best of my memory I had done everything that Kwark had ordered except jump through and donate another cane to their killboard. I then overreacted in the argument that followed on TS but meh.
Take what you will, I'm tired.
That is not your call to make. Period. You couldn't even see the other side of the gate, you didn't even ask. You simply announced that you agressed a falcon who was on 0 on the gate and had effectively removed yourself from the fight.
You fly like you are solo even when you are in a gang. Even when there is real fighting and FCing going on in TS you are narrating how many are local 5 systems away while you make your way there. Although that has nothing to do with this, it just seems like you make your own decisions/second guess FC more times than not and it's really not your place to do so, ever.

Meh, shit happens time to time. I'm sure he's not the first, nor will he be the last to make a bad call during a fight. Chin up FB, and keep shooting the nullseccies, until I get around to coming up to join you.

Over what I assume was a cane. Which is what 40m after ins? I was always under the impression that if the fc told you to do something you thought was retarded you ignored it and removed yourself from the fight. Granted that precedent was from when kwark was still learning to fc not having me brawl a typhoon with a cane on undock (still bitter)

cmon we all make mistakes, dont persecute fb so hard... from my point of view (i was on ts) all was mainly lack of comunication.

Tofu was in low shields but if the huginn died a second or two earlier he'd have gotten out. He could easily evade a triple webbed cynabal and warp out. But at the end of the day it's not your call. You were told to be somewhere by the FC and if you disobey orders then you get bollocked and kicked from fleet because you then become a liability. There's no "all I did was disobey orders". That's the worst thing you can do in a fleet.

People make retarded calls all the time, it's that he was sitting on a gate that I had explicitly told him to jump through in a pretty urgent and immediate fashion and he decided not to. It wasn't up to him, I made the call, I told him what the call was, he just didn't execute it. Orandos also died in that fight and so is also justifiably pissed with fb.

We're not rich like quality PvP alliances such as Mordu's Angels and Fatal Ascension, you see.

yeah that just happened
edit: okay so this guy was tripleboxing as far as i understand. Initially he warped the carrier to hisec, then apparently got his dreads on the hole as well. Why someone would do that is beyond me, but dont look a gift horse in the mouth right? Anyways as the first dread got into siege we noticed we need more dps, so we called in one of our dreads as tank-breaker or whatever. At one point It wasnt entirely certain our dread wouldnt die, but in the end it only seemed close for a few seconds since the dps of the fleet just melted those dreads/the carrier. Once our dread arrived on the field the carrier popped in about 20 sec after we switched dps on him. Anyways, lucky catch for us :>.

Glad to see Ren's suicide dread finally put to good use.

Zzz not my finest last few days of Eve...I should have about 9 vagabond kills that I ended up missing and at least as many drakes. Not to mention that I've gotten half the corp killed and lost 4 drakes myself O.o

New day, I've calmed down. I admit I messed up yesterday when I didn't follow orders to the best of my ability. Not going to argue about it anymore. Sorry tofu for your huginn loss, we may have saved it if I had followed. Who knows.
Anyway, moving on.

You're certainly going to be better than when I first started leading people out into null.
