Sounds right, just velocity * time and than the standard stacking modifiers if you have rigs and crap. And if you're in a drake if you can target it you can probably hit it.

Well right now I got 73,5 km range in my drake according to eft. and maxed out locking range is 75km while maxed out shooting range is 85km according to eft. Range really should not be a problem. If you can target it, than you can shoot it anyway.

Missiles follow the same acceleration formula as all ships and drones do (its quite complicated, dig it up yourself if your that interested). In general, you can cut ~10% off of a missiles maximum theoretical range between acceleration and minor vector changes. That number is obviously only useful for relatively stationary targets, but it gives you at least a better idea of how far you can generally chuck missiles in the best-case scenario.

Well they have a max velocity so I'm pretty sure there's an acceleration TO that max velocity. Been wrong before, though

I'd be pretty skeptical, I have never managed to get a good fight out of that group, so I would expect its really just trolling for smart bombing. They're the sort of people who wont engage without their falcon/blob on standby even in fair/in their favor fights. Also they run links 24/7 as well so understand that.

Some pretty fail FCing tonight. We smashed a retarded gang with 2 sleips, a cane, a cerb and two falcons losing nothing and killing all but one falcon using only a cane, two drakes, a huginn and a rifter. Our gang was worth approx 450m, theirs around 4x that. As we were looting the field they were reshipping. I announced that I was dumping loot, repairing and was not on the field which is a fairly transparent code for "look after yourselves, do the same, don't expect me to babysit you right now". However clearly it wasn't transparent enough as tofu and firebolt got themselves caught by the returning gang. Tofu called out a huginn and cynabal on a gate with him and orandos and I were 60AU away in drakes whereas firebolt was on the other side of the gate in a cane. I called aggress and told everyone to get there as fast as possible. Orandos and I arrived in time to drop the huginn that was killing tofu's huginn but by that point he was so low himself that the cynabal was able to finish him off. Local spiked and the half dead cynabal was no longer webbed and was getting clear so I called a gtfo. Meanwhile firebolt saw a deaggressed enemy falcon land on the gate at 0 (the gate we were fighting on the other side of while tofu was within seconds of getting out) and aggressed on it, contrary to orders. The falcon jumped through and joined the battle and firebolt notably did not. Bizarrely orandos and I were a 60 AU warp from tofu whereas firebolt was in a system 20 AU across and started from the far side of the gate that tofu was on. He insists that he got there as quickly as possible (didn't actually make it there).
I should have told everyone to get off the field. Assuming they could loot in their own time while watching local/dscan and not get themselves fucked was clearly far too much. I told them all they were on their own but I guess most of them weren't ready for that level of responsibility yet. I also should have had the fight in the system fb was in. I could have told tofu to jump and hold cloak while orandos and I warped at 0 and jumped after with the cynabal and huginn were isolated. firebolt probably would have then jumped the gate just to ensure he wasn't in the fight but still, would have bought some time. I made the wrong call there.

Back in oddelulf days we made about 5b a month from corp loot (loot from corp roams) and probably about the same from personal loot although that's always hard to count. Our total losses back then were about 2b a month so that obviously was rather good. It's less now because we kill less missionbears and don't hold the field so often (massive blobs).

As I landed from my safe (which I warped from asap) I saw a dramiel sfi sabre and some other shit jump through while there was a seemingly afk falcon stationary 30km from the gate. At that point I heard that tofu was at 25% shields or so and I had noticed that links were in my system (the wrong system). I decided to try and save myself (pretty sure I'd be 99% dead if I had jumped through as well) and as I aligned back to my safe I took a few potshots at the falcon that then started to burn back to gate and jump through.
I chose to save myself instead of risking 2 losses. At a fight like this that doesn't go the way we want, someone will be made a scapegoat and I was it this time for doing something the FC hadn't ordered. To the best of my memory I had done everything that Kwark had ordered except jump through and donate another cane to their killboard. I then overreacted in the argument that followed on TS but meh.
Take what you will, I'm tired.

I said I was going to scoop some loot and return, and as I got to the gate the Huginn and Cynabal landed, don't pin that on me.
Firebolt, your cane could have kept me alive, at which point the rest of you could nano while I repaired and then we could have just killed them all.

This definitely wasn't tofu's fault, I agree with that.
As for keeping you alive; you were at 25% shields when I arrived back on gate with a few other ships jumping into you. And there is no way we can nano against SFI cynabal dramiel huginn (perhaps nearly dead) sabre and falcon and some other shit, and we didn't even have links.

Huginn died when I was at 15% shields. All I needed was 20k from the Cynabal (easy when it's triple webbed, would have taken 5 seconds) and I would have been fine. If you were there when you should have been, I would have had those 5 seconds.
