idk 0.0 is safer then alot of people think. most 0.0 has intel channels and u know 3 to 4 jumps before a gang or a solo roamer is coming into your system.
ive never seen anyone use a golem in 0.0 there isnt really a need for it. u can do anomilies with much less. but tangu's are more common then golems. way more common.
iam not able to do lvl 4s fast enough for them to be worth while but i can chain belts in 0.0 for anywhere from 14-18mil an hour and i was able to do this with less then 5mil sp. flying a raven. been playing for about 3 months i haven't got poped once ratting*. i don't rat in system with station or anything but i watch local and intel channels know when to jump behind pos shields and stuff its not hard.
the benefits of 0.0 arnt ratting but the industry. with better mining and moon mining your alliance provides ships cheaper and some cases full reimbursement besides modules. also cheaper capitals etc.
0.0 is only dangerous if your not paying attention.

As a new pilot, some of you might have seen me in SCBW, Kalradin, I have to say that the only time i'd ever step into lowsec would be to do PvP, or because I HAVE to to do story missions, other than that, its just not worth it.
In High sec, I was running lvl1 missions for 1.2mil/hour, running lvl 2 missions now for about 3mil/hour.
So far the game has sent me to low sec for 3 story missions:
1st time) I got scanned down and lost my destroyer
2nd time) someone was trying to kill me as I was leaving the system (warped to 0m from gate and was jumping out when they started to lock on me)
3rd time) Was at a station refilling shields, bought a couple skill books after the mission for really cheap, as soon as I leave the station someone starts to lock on me, but i jump out faster then they can stop me. (Yes I know, they most likely sell for cheap, wait for someone to buy it, then jump out of station to kill, but w/e)
So basically, 100% of the time I go into low sec, someone fitted for PvP tries to kill me. I'm fitted for PvE (just trying to make isk) so my ship basically doesn't have a chance (PvE fit corm vs PvP fit thrasher... PvE fit MOA v PvP fit stabber/rupture ya...).
Now, the biggest problem for me is that I look at what I'm getting, say I look at a lvl1 mission into low sec to kill things:
Rewards: - 100k in reward - +1 implant (300k) - 200k in bounties - say 400k in loot (say i found a meta 4 item w/e)
So i stand to gain 1.1 mil from this mission.
Cons: - I have to spend 30mins in low sec (30 mins to get scanned) - If I get caught I lose - my ship, 650k in the case of my destroyer, covered by insurance (590k, so lost 70k) - its mods 400k in my case (ya cheap i know but w/e) - My cargo (so 400k in the case of this mission) - Possible chance to get podded and lose implants (i only have 1 in... so another 300k)
Over all, if I complete the mission and live i get 1.1mil, if i complete the mission and then die, i get 0isk over all, and if i fail the mission and just die i lose about 600k (no loot to lose, and say i get half the bounty)
So here, I have 3 outcomes +1.1mil, 0isk, -600k... on average a lvl1 story mission to low sec will get me 170,000isk.
To put this into perspective a normal lvl1 mission gives me: - 200k in reward - 150k in bounty - 200k in loot - 100 loyalty points
Putting me at in high sec: normal lvl1 mission = about 550k + 100 LP Low sec = 170isk (chance to lose 600k)
Where's the reward? 100% of the time I get attacked, and on average I will make less isk then staying in high sec... Why would I EVER go to low sec if I didn't need to?
I mean, to make it worth my time to go to low sec the average payout for low sec would need to be higher than 550k... this would mean that the rewards for going to low sec for a lvl1 mission would need add up to 2.25million isk to make it even for a lvl1 mission in high sec v low sec.
2.25mil - 400k for loot - 200k for bounties = 1.65mil in reward / bonus / other
This is just a noobies oppinion but still... looks to me like low sec would either need: better drops (so LOTS of meta 4 drops...) better rewards (+2 implant for a lvl1 story mission to low sec?) or better rewards (implant + 800k isk)
But again, I'm new and what do I know maybe it gets more worth it as the mission levels go up, i don't know...

Good Lord... Ya'll need to stop dicking up the thread with carebear nonsense. If your goal in Eve is to become as wealthy as possible, no amount of missioning/ratting/plexing is going to get you there. if you want to play rapacious capitalist in space, convo Chribba or Vuk Lau or our very own Motbob. You need to be a major player in t2 and cap production, have a huge alliance and personal r64s, or be a 0.0 slum lord if you want to become a trillionaire.
If you want to make enough ISK to afford shiny shit to pew pew in, doing some market pvp, the occasional anom and not losing retarded amounts of ships will do the trick.
The latter is the Liquid Inc. way. Fapping to wallet flashes is way less pro than being anal retentive about your kb stats.

Or you can gets billions of isk and spend it all on nanite paste. But only if your name is kizu :>
I don't know how up to date you guys are but I haven't really had much interest in eve lately. I've been studing and playing beta, stuff like that. I think Wil will agree with me that EVE is an awesome game, but to get the fun out of it it requires quite the time inverstment. I've been thinking about quitting maybe even selling my acc, but breaking bonds is hard for me.
It's the people of the corp that keep me going and makes me feel alive. Because when you think about it... What's beats being called a hostile dick within 5minutes of chatting with someone? :>

being called a dick within a minute of chatting with someone. hi dex!

I see your point, but I happened to be talking to a stranger that just joined corp 2days ago. Guess my trolling form still hasn't diminished : >
And speaking of dex. Where's he been lately?

Actually I think I quoted the wrong person somehow. I meant to quote the guy above you, not sure how that happened.

The real money is finding out where a big battle just occurred and salvaging all the T2 wrecks!
Edit: Damn you CCP for crashing the nanite market.

in a day of missionwhoring lvl 4/s in a tengu/cerb combo u can get like 1 bil + so anything its possible !
|
I sure hope you're counting LP conversion into that 1 bil, otherwise you have a lot of time on your hands

There aren't enough hours in a day to make 1 billion isk on missions even running a Tengu/Cerb combo. At some point you just run them so fast you'll actually make more money just having each person run the missions separately and even then the max you can expect from that is about 100mil/hr.
Well I suppose he could play 18 hours a day :p
|
Its only 41.666mil an hour if he does 24 hour grinding! But yeah, to me that's just too much time spent. Then again, 1 bil goes a long way for pvp, even if you buy cynabals and faction fit them so I wouldn't even know what to do with all that isk. (I wouldn't mind it though)

You would be surprised actually. Luckily alliances generally have HAC/BC reimbursement so all you have to usually do is pay for rigs. You do know about this though sooo MEHHH.
I haven't been below 20bil in a very long time. I helped BoB out with the first few motherships and titans and I may have dipped back then but that was a long ass time ago. OH man like 4 years ago now? Dear god...
At any one time Hyey usually has like 500mil on him and that keeps him relatively stable. Now when I get back into serious PvP where I do stupid risky shit to get kills I may have to supply him more cash than he makes :p I try to keep each character self sustaining, including plexes.

Too bad I can't change the first post, but if you're looking to join the corp, whether your new or not. Post your ingame name in this thread and talk to Gordon Alexander or Senator Leto, Yulwei, Viljushkar (if you ever catch this guy) those are the primary recruiters/directors. You could talk to Kizu Pahndah (me) but my job's to mainly check your API/skills and I'm also lazy.
Also, if anyone thinks its too late to join EvE, its not. Even if you're on the fence, just make a 14/21 day trial account, its free and you don't need to give a credit card or anything.
Edit: It only takes 37 days to get into a complete T2 nano-hurricane, and only 14days to get into T2 tanked, T1 weapon cane. With remaps its even faster.
