Revenge against ninja-salvagers.
One of them warped in early and cloaked up, probably hoping to steal the damsel or zor's implant. The other warped in right as I blew up the building.

Step 1: Find something with an active market and a price that has been slowly going down to where it usually spikes. Make sure there is a concentration of stock around the .01 margin and a fairly sparse amount up. Step 2: Buy up the market. Step 3: Place 9/10ths of yours at .01. Step 4: Sell happily making sick isk. Step 5: The two other people who actually have stock in the station try and .01 you. Step 6: Place 1/20th of yours at halfway between the old price and the current. Step 7: The two other active .01ers .01. Step 8: Place the last 1/20th of yours just above where it was originally. Step 9: The two others .01 you. Step 10: Buy them out, cancel your orders and place their stuff at your vastly inflated price. They now have to spend the next 24 hours buying stock while you hold the monopoly. It's all about liquidity and inelasticity of the supply. You can't sustain an artifically inflated price but if you can trick the competition into putting their stock up then you can create a short term monopoly. By the time they get some new stock in I'll be long gone with my profits off their stock. Never knew market PvP could be this fun. It's just as tense laying the trap order and waiting for them to put their stock on the line as a lot of other PvP. Only made a few hundred mil off that deal but it was my first try and I feel pretty awesome about it.

Step 1: Find something with an active market and a price that has been slowly going down to where it usually spikes. Make sure there is a concentration of stock around the .01 margin and a fairly sparse amount up. That's a great start. The market will recover. As I sell the last of mine I intend to crush the price back down with some more well priced sell orders. That way the subsequent surge in supply that'll hit right after I'm done selling mine will have nowhere to go. Market griefing is better than actual griefing ^^ Ammo I've found to be tricky (and fairly low margin). Are you doing faction or regular? Imo I preferred the t2 mods market over ammo due to heavy elasticity of the latter. In general, a price spike on a fairly, but not "top 10" common t2 mod (think HML II or 425mm ACs in Rens. Top 10 would be something like gyros, BCU, or DCU), the turnaround time on those is about 3 days. With faction ammo it can be as little as 1 day, as you're hoping no missionbear cashes in his LP on the specific item you're trading. With t1 ammo in trade hubs...its really low, as any moron can get into t1 manufacturing. On the other hand, faction ammo has high volatility so often if you're willing to let your stock sit on the market and play the long game you should be fine (for example, if the current buy/sell spread on CN scourge is 1300/1100 with ceiling ~1800 over three months, place stock at ~1650 and it will eventually sell. Not the best margin but you get my point) If I might offer some humble advice, three things, though they are fairly interrelated. One, keep in mind there's always a bigger fish out there that can fuck you over (as I've discovered to my detriment, there are people very capable of dumping 5,000 DCUs that cut the buy/sell spread by 50-70% within 24 hours of initial price spike TT). Two, accepting isk losses is a natural part of brokering. Don't let wishful thinking burn you even more than an initial price dive. Finally, capital in motion (in buy orders, or on the market) is almost always better then capital sitting in your hangar. Even if it appears you're taking losses. Oh yea, and margin trading IV/V is a very useful talent toi have.

If anyone remembers that one rifter from earlier: I was not even trying there. =p It does not help that a lot of the fits on battleclinic appear to be fail, too. Also, solo roamed through low. Found nothing. Got bored. Went on to see, if I could get into curse. Lost a rifter on the way, because apparently I did pick a shitty route. Did not get podded (which is a small milestone for me). Arrived in Curse in a reaper. Threw together said fail rifter. Did a few lvl1 missions, because, well why not. In one I was suprised to see ~20 red frigs in the first pocket and ~10 frigs, 2 cruiser in the second one. Also since there are like no ppl in local, I think it is kind of easier to carebear there. local +1? DOCK! Though not sure, if I wanted to do that in a bs.

Between the three pvp rifter fits the hatchery has, I kind of can figure out whats going on. Whenever I try to fit something for missions, be it a rupture for lvl2s, a rifter for lvl1s or a thrasher for 1/2s. I fail horribly. You were present at one of these tries. =) edit: next thing you will be asking will something like this: why would you even want to do lvl 1/2s? I am currently not creative enough to seek out a source of income that requires more thought. And I dont want to sit in station 24/7 asking for salvage. Also the missions in curse did pay for the two rifters, already. (yeah I know these are free.)

Get Eve Fitting Tool, then try lots of different fits. Switch out modules with different variations or gun sizes, try different rigs and different combinations of resists and buffer mods, etc. Spend like half an hour or 45 minutes getting a fit as good as you can get it, then try it out on tq or the test server. Find out which modules are better than others and for what reasons, which variations are stupidly expensive and you don't really want to ever have to buy, and exactly how every single module on your ship affects its performance. Then just go from there. With the hours of practice I've had I can throw a good ship fit together in EFT, or even just ingame, in under 5 minutes. And if any of you think this makes me an EFT warrior, you clearly don't know the definition of the term.
