I wouldn't trust that. The Goonfleet wiki is a great resource, but you can't access most of it if you're not GF. Why? you have no imagination? I see no wrong with that picture except for rancer.. Which is a wasp sitting in the flower.
There's so much wrong with that picture I don't know where to begin.
The only time the analogy makes sense is if you view it as a 2-D, top down comparison between a flower and the EVE map. That's it. And even then it's only really, "There's some shit in the middle, and surrounding it is some different shit." The best part of EVE is certainly not empire space. The analogy says nothing about the gameplay of EVE. It says nothing about the culture of EVE. If you look at it considering the resource distribution, the flower has the nectar in the centre, while EVE has the moons on the outside. It makes no sense
Ignore my rant

He was clearly referring to the security of empire space, not it's "goodness" or its resource count or E-CULTURE anything like that.

Quit fighting noobs.
In other news: I'm back Y'ALL (after my 3 or so month break) . One does not truly leave EVE.

Long time lurker here - am interested in getting a 21 day trial but not sure who is still active from this thread that I should PM. I could get it from that other site but if I sign up it won't benefit one of you. Thanks.
|
|
PM me your Email and I'll send you one ASAP.
|
Personall I'd like to see mostly guys like Supercrab (wtf is your TL nick anyway?), viljushkar (WiljushkA on TL), Bormac (Psyker on TL, get friggin active again!), Lord Dexxus (Dexxus on TL but not sure if he wants more playtime atm) or myself PM'd about trials. That's just my 2 cents, but those are most of the guys who keep the TL corp running behind the scenes - even though obviously anyone would like to get the 1 month of free play time which you'll get if you sign up after the trial.
Also stop derailing this thread with your bees and flowers. Well, bees are fine. Only a dead goon is a good goon \o/

Thanks for clarifying who is still active with the TL Corp. I've PM'd you r.Evo.
|
Those are not the only ones active with the TL corp. Those guys are pretty much the corp's leadership. Revo's 2 cents = leadership is all that matters, the "grunts" are just dead weight. You either PvP and you'r good at it (and you get added to the list), or you'r a n00b and .... u'r dead weight 'till u learn to PvP well.
Like i already told you on corpchat, you'r sooo wrong in this post revo. Goons are the best thing that happened to this game

There is no connection between the stamen, petals and leaves of a flower to security. None whatsoever. That's why it's a shitty analogy.
-edit- I'd like to echo that GOONS are what make EVE fun. Well, not really, but they're a gold turd in a pile of actual shit.
-edit2- On a completely unrelated note, I found that implants in a certain unnamed region were selling for ~60% of what they were selling for in a nearby region with a certain unnamed market hub. Hello

Meh it's all about the pewpew although if you like to solo pvp 0.0 kinda sucks.
Goons are necessary. Every MMORPG has a guild full of trolls. The only difference is that EVE just has an alliance that has 6000 members.
P.S.: PL doomsdayed some GC members yesterday :>

I'm going to forcefeed a bucket of daffodils to the next person who starts yammering about flowers. Bees are fine though. Talk about bees all you want.
Revo, I'd love to get active again, but between work, sports and friends I have practically no time left for gaming atm. I still love the game, but it's hard to just "hop into" it when you only have an hour or somesuch. Console yourself with the thought I'm training Thermodynamics while I'm inactive :p

what, you need to be decent at pvp in a pvp-oriented corp? how cruel even more considering how low the player skill treshhold for pvp in eve is ._.

PL was angry we beat them Monday and Tuesday Night (although according to Mukk and everyone else we weren't facing their A-Team), so they reused to fight last night and resorted to hotdropping 7 carriers on us. We were a bit disappointed they didn't drop a Titan (this is not the Double DD bN. was talking about).
The Double DD shows how good PL actually is however, they had a fleet 3 jumps away, so GC attacked a vulture thinking it was a straggler. Oops.

whenever i see lone caldari and amarr command ships i think BAIT
|
I'm pretty sure a lone hictor with no fleet at all is much more obvious bait. Mya didn't fall for that one.
|
The question is not if those are bait, the question is if you can a) gank them before the fleet arrives or b) gank their fleet. <3
