Or maybe he IS talking about the frigates themselves and he means the frigates below the strongest racial frigates (Punisher, Rifter) don't cut it, so you should train Frigate III and get the best frig available.

Guns Afterburner, Point/Scram, Web Basic Armor Tank (DCU, Plate, Whatever). At least I could. Took a little longer to get the grid to use a Nos or Rocket launcher and MWD.

The Hull upgrades 4 is mostly for damage control unit II, which is probably the most useful item in the game. As for being useful: yes in a few hours you char can have the basic skills to fit an afterburner, warp scrambler and stasis webifier onto a frigate. This means that you can tackle but unless you want to die a lot in 0.0 I'd rather advise you to hang around #teamliquid in the game while doing lvl 1 missions those first 2 weeks while you get your skills up. You'll learn a lot in those 14 days anyway, mostly about the npc side of eve plus you'll also get some starting cash and some cool basic implants out the lvl 1 missions you'll be doing. Completing the tutorials is worth it imo atleast if this is your first char.

So what's up with the new corp? What's up with the split off part of the corp that went to be based in 0.0? Is the word of the day still frig ops? I'm out of the loop, help!

(Don't worry if you don't get all of these names, most of them are posting in this thread; I just don't know all their TL nicks. I'll ask for all the names ingame and send a list to dexxus for the front page soon.) We're pretty much at a point where I can't see many other players after the relatively short amount of time we're all playing. The "old guys" who joined after the first call from Dexxus in February (like Viljushkar, Supercrab or me) are about to get into the real sexy ships this game has in the smaller category. The "middle-aged guys" like Bomac or Del'Rathi are about to jump into more important roles like scouting for the blob and our latest recruits like Yulwei, China or Kalandines are having their fun in the middle of the blob in cheapish ships like T1 frigates or cruisers Summer has hit the corp pretty hard overall, but that's the same for most of the corps in eve. I'd say right now we have about 50% of the active guys we had like 1-2 months ago. We're resuming to recruit ingame and we're going to keep the current recruitment for TL guys (you can join us about 2 weeks in the game and have all our help from the beginning). What we're up to? Killing shit and winning eve. Lately a lot of the big names you have read about in the EVE Metagaming Thread are visiting our region, bored as shit and looking for fights - we give them what they want. Pandemic Legion has their feared sniper gangs around (and, hell, these guys give trouble), AAA sniping gangs get lolowned by our superior FCs and organisation. 30 minutes ago we kicked a 25 man Red Alliance gang in the nuts and chased them for 3-4 systems. Ethereal Dawn and Intrepid Crossing have a small base set up close to us and we visit them a few times every day because they give us easy kills. With the current position we have in our new alliance and with our allies we have pretty much everything EVE can offer. Some of us saw Titans up close and got jump bridged by them, some saw us getting hotdropped and wiped out by 80 Pandemic Legion Carriers & Dreadnoughts. We saw 80 men Razor Alliance Battleshipgangs, we had some few POS bashes (and they are really as boring as people say they are) ... Oh, and, not to forget, we roamed Morsus Mihi teritorry via wormhole entrance, got Doomsdayed three friggin times (with 2 losses), engaged a carrier, got hotdropped on and still just lost 4 guys total. <3 The Alliance we are in is specialised in roaming gangs of all sorts & still has a sizable capfleet. The alliance just broke the top 100 on the battleclinic killboard, which is representative for all of eve. Most of the stuff we do is in gangs of 5-25 ships with the occasional 50+ man blob, especially when our home systems are under attack. Goonfleet is getting really boring lately with no life threatening war. I sold my old cap ship/BS focused main so I have more ISK than I know what to do with so I have no desire to do anything but PVP right now.

I have two remaps available - is there a general combat remap you could tell me? A decent starting off set of attributes would be 9 int 9 per 8 will 8 mem 5 cha. 9/9/9/7/5 would also work. Also FYI battleclinic is shit. :/

Problems I could see: If there are support skills left to train, they'll have to be done (at optimal speed of course) after a year after the ship/gunnery remap is done. Then it's another year of grinding support until it's hopefully done. I'm really not sure what to do here v0v

Like -every- plan we made for newbs told us max perc, rest in int Uh, why? You're going to be training things from across the board for at least a while. While perception and intelligence are the primary attribute for a lot of skills, memory comes first for learning and drones, and willpower is primary for tech 2 ships. And especially early on, when you're training a lot of engineering, mechanic, and electronics skills, you don't want your intelligence to be too low compared to perception.
