I've got a decent amount of ORE lying around (brand spankin new 'triever) and would be willing to pass it along to folks who need it to make bigger ships.. Willing to go out to lowsec space and Deep Core mine as long as you've got the people to protect me. I'm currently a free-lance miner, selling off my goodies to whoever offers to buy it, but if TL needs me as a miner, I'd be game. I'm Torenhire in game as well.  | ||

yea you'll lose it and it'll probably be an embarrassing T1 fit and your skills are substandard but after insurance it's cheap as chips. point is to learn and have fun, besides you can fly anything T1 anytime cause cost to performance ratio is so skewed in your favor. | ||

However there's this guy named Jarek and he does movie called crapage, where he fits t1 ships as cheaply as possible then goes out and blows shit up with great success. However, he has awesome skills and thermodynamics really makes a difference in any fight. linky linky: crapage2 crapage 1 is with gallente ships so that should be more for you nitram | ||

some may say you should have some decent skills first and stay at cruiser or bc for a while but I jumped from incursus -> catalyst -> vexor -> myrm -> dominix in a month. o the days of doing missions in t1 gear, ogre 1's take forever. if you need, just visit scrapheap or killboards for figuring out fitting. i just basically looked at scrapheap-challenge.com and killmails of good corps to figure out the standard fits and it's easy to go from there. | ||

For missions, a shield myrm would be better (meh, on 2nd thought, maybe not), but if you don't have shield skills, I wouldn't suggest to start training them up now. Eventually you'll get there but you'll want to get your core "gallente skills" (armor, drones, gunnery, and don't forget grid/energy skills and some propulsion) up first. Anyway, it shouldn't take long to go from myrm to domi, from what I remember, I jumped from BC IV to BS IV almost immediately.
