It started out with Mike and Jed as the long-point short-point rifter duo, Cael in a shield rupture, and me in an armor caracal (LOL). Okay, before you laugh HEAR ME OUT -- this baby had AMLs, web/scram/mwd/ AND TWO TRACKING DISRUPTORS HELL YEA, and an 800 plate + DCU with EM/thermal shield rigs LOL. We're talking 15k EHP, 1.3k m/s, anti-frig/drone, tackle, and disables any turret-based ship out there, this ship does everything. With pretty much the perfect fleetcomp to hardcounter any minnie cruiser/BC, we went hunting.

So we set out from Emol headed to Rens the long low-sec way with Mike scouting for us. We avoid a ~10 BC blob of cane/drake in Evati, and then Jed (needlessly?) sacrifices himself to kill a pirate Thrasher on a Todi gate. The thrasher's armor evaporated so fast that my missiles didn't even reach him in time before he blew up.

Very shortly after we run into a small frig gatecamp (stiletto, claw, kitsune, jag, and a couple of others I can't remember) and we're strongly considering engaging them even under gate-gun fire but then a myrm jumps in. For whatever reason the frig blob decides to go for the myrm and not any of us??? and they die horrible deaths, their lives sacrificed to the gate-guns god... not even sure if the myrm and his cane buddy who came in shortly after even fired a shot, lol.

Cael logs off shortly after that to maintain domestic peace and we mosey-on without our key dps member. Nearing the end of our journey, we encounter a couple of thrashers on both sides of a Hofjaldgrund gate, a jaguar in the next system over, and a vaga (!!!). The thrashers and jag are in the same corp, and I quickly find out the vaga is blue to them as well thanks to a little espionage on my part (i.e. I asked the thrashers if they wanted to help us gank the vaga and they told me "lol he's with us"). I request a friendly 2v1 with the vaga, and he hesitantly accepts, asking for a guarantee that there wont' be more and even asks to be fleeted. I dodge his concerns and simply ask to meetup on planet 3, and he obliges -- little did he know we were about to blob the bajeesus him with overwhelming firepower in the form of Cael and Nou's rupture and claw, who were holding 2 systems out.

I engage the vaga first, and he predictably tries to kite me from 20km out. He takes out half my shields in 2 salvos, but I'm not worried as I'm armor-tanked and TADA MY TRACKING DISRUPTORS BITCH HAHA SO EASY. I'm literally taking zero damage while I pepper away at him with my assaults, and I wait for him to engage at a closer distance. I can actually see his confused brain slowly turning its gears as he realizes he can't hit me after about a minute of this. But the second I see the radial velocity shifting negative, I immediately flip on my pre-heated MWD, hit my heated web at 13km, call out point at 10km, all in rapid succession and Cael & Nou immediately begin their 2 jump hotdrop process.

I'm having a little trouble holding point as I'm trying to manage a 10km orbit, but thankfully Mike is there to back me up with long-point. Things get real chaotic for me as I'm frantically trying to get back within heated shortpoint range, and somehow I'm able to re-engage my scram -- except this time the cane gets point blank range to me and begins tearing me a new one as I've hit approach and not orbit. The cane proceeds to widen my asshole as my armor dips to 20% and I panic hit MWD align out to sun, losing my shortpoint in the process but still alive. Meanwhile Mike heroically holds his longpoint on the vaga long enough for Cael to land and get longpoint himself, and Mike manages to get out with less than 50% structure (!).

At this point the vaga realizes it's no longer an easy 2v1 for him and tries to burn out of longpoint. I can't keep up in my slow-ass armor tanked caldari ship, but Cael manages to dish out some damage until the vaga burns outburns me out of my targeting range (~70km) and my TDs deactivate. However at this point Nou finally lands on Cael, and gets a short-point on the vaga. Cael and I try to catch up, but we're both badly capped out, especially since Cael's been neuted. Unfortunately Nou's ship explodes just as I get back in targeting range for my TDs, and Cael valiantly tries to kill the fleeing Vaga, but he warps out in structure

Sigh, gfs but the vaga calls me out on "blobbing" him and gets all butthurt about it, saying I broke my word, I broke his trust, how come I never call anymore, it's like I don't care, etc. etc. whatever. Nou reships while we rep up and dodge another BC gang where Cael narrowly avoids losing his ship cuz he was kiting them 70km off gate letting them eat gate gun fire while they zero'd him down with warp-in from celestials. We head back to Emol while Cael bitches at my awesome caracal fit as I fail to tackle a mining Osprey. Around Gusandall we fly by a blob of executor-class frigs (seriously wtf there were like 10 of them at least lol), and we rape a poor newbie ratting thrasher in Eifer.

Unfortunately the tale does not end happily there, as a vaga pilot pops into Eifer while we wait out GCC. I get all excited at the prospect of getting back the vaga kill we lost from before, so excited that I don't even realize Cael's not in local anymore. Let's just say, the worst possibly sequence events happened and we all died horrible deaths. (Cael, maybe you could do the honors of retelling this tale from your point of view? LOL)
