Vaga does do decent damage out to 45k with V. Vaga has total control over the range (unless he gets himself neuted like this one did) and can kite.

So I get home from work, and decide to do a few missions with my new t2 hards. I get done almost the first wave of my mission when a Probe warps in and flips my can. Naturally, I burn at him screaming "gtfo or die" and then immediately aggress him. Why you ask? Because a fleet was already up because Karah was trying to get people to flip his cans.
So naturally he warps out, and Kwark brings in his Rapier. I go back to pew pewing, waiting for his return.
He shows up in a Typhoon Fleet Issue. Not good. Kwark immediately gets point and web on him. 3 more Drakes and 2 Scimitars undock and warp to my mission. He is pointed again, webbed again, and taken down. We suffered no loss (nobody even went under 90% shields).
He promptly dies in a glorious ball of fire and doom.

Triple Trimarked, triple 1600 plated station brawling ship brought in to kill a PvE Drake with 15 corp members in local.

We're reaching the point that whenever we see anyone doing anything stupid we have the assets right there to immediately exploit it. 30 seconds after tofu baited the bait and switching phoon pilot there was a rapier cloaked up in his mission.

No vaga fights at 45k and no vaga really goes after a hurricane with the intention of winning.

I had a few hours free between lectures so I thought I'd take a look at how we were doing so far in real terms rather than judging the killboard stats. They include kills where we didn't get killing blow which can lead to gross exaggeration. In corps where they often do joint ops with multiple other corps this can have a ridiculously massive impact because they'll get points for a kill where only one of the twenty guys was in their corp but if the entire fleet gets wiped out only their man counts as a loss. It's absurd that if two 20 man fleets fight, one composed of a single corp and the other of 20 different guys then the corp will be at 50% with 20 kills, 20 losses, whereas each of the individual corps in the other fleet will be at 20 kills, 1 loss. Anyway, given how little we co-operate with anyone else it was easy to deduct kills that weren't really ours from the total (along with PvE carrier kills which for some reason seem to count) and come up with a total.
Unfortunately it was fairly disappointing (at least compared to the 40b kill 23b loss that our kb would have us believe). Anyway, here is my estimate of where we really stand.

Also the only reason our losses haven't been going down every month since November is a certain 1b mael loss.

It's quite nice to have the ability to scramble a fleet like that at any time if someone decides to can flip, or camp the eifer gate, etc. So many kills we couldn't have expected to have gotten before.
Things are definitely getting better. Cool to see.

Are you counting number of kills here? Or looking at the value of the kills in ISK?
