As far as i know Faffywaffy was the only one doing inty training. Yet the alliance public recruited anyone with a ship and just asked them not to spill red all over the KB. Which did a few things. Made people not want to go solo for fear of looking bad. Made people not want to try a hand at FCing because they might get a fleet whiped. And some other shit. The KB might have looked worse had people done this but the pilots skills would have improved in general. It was a pretty shitty situation. People just spun ships and got bored until mukk got on and then everyone blobbed into his fleet. After flying a logistics around for a while people saying over coms "Need reps, dieing" got really annoying. Didnt even say who they were. Like really? Even if i knew the voice the overview is so shit in EVE. By the time you read through it to find your target the thing refreshes and scrolls back to the top. Then rage ensues. So I posted How to broadcast for reps guide lol It was a awesome guide complete with shortcuts and pictures. It gave away all the tips and tricks, like how to simply ctrl+click a broadcast. It got like 30 views and Gordon was the only person to reply to it. It didn't do shit for good by the way. Which is what really saddens me about GC. People in GC were so smug shittin on how terribad cow was but had zero motivation to improve there shit. Cow had more fun than GC. They also could have stomped on GC had they wanted too. One more thing. During the fail Atlas/IT deployment i made a post in command about getting on the test server and just practicing DS style. And just get on the real server to do the CTAs. Would have only taken a weekend to really get that shit down. Its really not that hard once everyone is doing there job in the role. But everyone was like mehh.. Asking someone in GC to put down there sebo because KM whoring is really useless for the fleet is like pulling teeth. Asking someone to go on the test server where they won't get a KM at all was just impossible. Really too bad.. After a weekend of hardcore practice we could have stomped much bigger NC fleets by ourselves; doing more for the war than Atlas and IT combined (which wouldnt have been hard since they did nothing). Instead we just joined atlas CTAs. Got stomped a few times at a blackscreen via terrible orders. Then stopped joining. Then we followed Ben Booley around while he tried to gank BSes at undocks in lowsec for a month. I hear he died IRL, RIP. Mya sick of atlas fail moves us to X70 because ..... Atlas is making us look bad on our KB ohh no.. So we can join IT fleets.. Or not. We never get on IT coms because we are scrubs. So we kinda just sit around spinning ships being emo. Actually the only cool thing about that deployment was COW (and atlas but mostly cow) being baller and using there massive cap fleet. It died in a fire but they had fun. We also ganked ephermons nightmare on the way to fight who is legendary in eve land for being a giant officer mod pinata. Despite all that GC wasnt bad. Just shit sov havers. We shouldnt have taken SP. It was terrible. No way we could have defended it. We were doing great in GW previous that. TL;DR GC just wanted easy ganks, and wouldnt improve there shit to be a boss in real fleet fights sadly. Not a direct quote but thats how faffy viewed GC and now roam. | ||

That's why the better alliances in Eve don't recruit based on "what do you have enough SP to fly?" Also, let me know about those rude surprises in my IMBA fleet comps. Whatever it may be, the sooner you realize that well thought out, well practiced, and innovative fleet comps are essential to not being a scrub, the better. There are plenty of non-scrubbish pilots that roll small cane gangs. Innovative, applied to your case, is probably just a new take on pressing f1 and orbiting. Congratulations, sir. (Yes, flying a BC in a 5-man gang is more micro intensive than an MPL abbadon 50 man gang.) Also, unless you're one of the theorycrafters that actually came up with the armor AB HAC/abbadon gang, its a bit inaccurate to call them 'your' imba fleet comps. You're all a bunch of fucktards. one thing ill say, rosa's post (amnesty) is bang on. i couldnt possibly agree more. also who the fuck is 419 (gotta say though, i agree with his "if less than 5 people in fleet, just hop into nanobcs for nullsec roams (replace nanobc with cyna/vaga). but with 10 people you can already do a DS style gang - 4 drakes 1 zealot 1 huginn 1 lachesis 2 scimi 1 stiletto - while we're at it id recommend the hatchery to try that gang, they seem to have too much drakes anyway :p just dont bring anything other than said ships (maybe command ships), hurricanes are useless in that fleet compo) | ||

I have followed this thread for well over 100 pages and browsed through the goons war page (long read). I also have researched what I could on youtube from how to videos to pvp ect and have gained enough insight to peek my interest. I have been a pvp based player through many mmos and the main attribute EvE has is the chance that outnumbered team play winning vs more numbers is the biggest draw to me. I would be a new player but not a noob. Hopefully you will give me a chance. | ||
