That was a really fun fight actually (for me at least). We were Claymore, 3x Cane, Rapier, Blackbird, 3x Rifter and Griffin vs. 2x Cane, Drake, Tempest, and Falcon with another Cane and Curse that came in the middle of the fight. For you non-Eve readers, we had 4 battlecruisers, 2 cruisers and 4 frigates going against 1 battleship, 4 battlecruisers, and 2 cruisers. They had us out-gunned by ~40% and out-ECMed by 50% ... and a Curse.
I'm a little fuzzy on how the fight started as the scouts had tackled someone just as I rendezvoused with the fleet on the out-gate, but I believe we were attempting to go after a Muninn when suddenly cane, cane, drake, tempest. Awesome. Our rifter tackler on the Muninn gets popped and the Muninn gtfo's out, and the real battle begins as I start setting up jams on the tempest and drake, while the rest of the fleet primaries the drake.
The battle seems to be going slightly in our favor with a little over half their dps taken out by jams, when suddenly around 40 seconds into the battle Falcon jumps in. Really, really bad news -- if this guy undocked with all minnie jammers, he seriously could keep all 4 of our battlecruisers jammed forever, without even breaking a sweat. I check the grid, and he's only 80k out so I immediately switch all my jams to him -- and I miss my cycle completely, crap. Things are quickly going south as I hear Cael and Abom on TS yell out that they're jammed.
At this point I know it's all or nothing, so I overheat all my jams on the next cycle and pray something will go off on the Falcon, since they've got insane ECM resistance. Miraculously my measily 12pt overheated gravimetric jammer locks up his 28pt gravimetric sensors, and I'm able to lock up the Tempest with my other 3 jammers, and the battlefield is suddenly even again. And on the next cycle, I throw everything I have against the Falcon again -- success! He's jammed out again, he actually warps out, buying us another 45 seconds or so and granting me the chance to resume jamming the Tempest on the next cycle while the rest of the fleet is able to tear apart the Drake's hull.
The next few minutes Falcon keeps trying to warp back in, and I keep denying him -- everytime he gets back on the field, I'm able to lock him first and get my jams off before he can do anything. He finally wisens up and on his 3rd warp-in, he's literally 125k out from me, way out of reach for me -- I can't even initiate targeting farther than 95k -- and he jams me out, wow. I have no choice but to warp-out and get back at a much closer distance to the fight than I'm comfortable with. Now I'm around 40k from the fight, but the Falcon is now within 80k reach again and I slam him down with my ECMs like a sledgehammer and he has no choice but to turn tail again.
But in the meantime, Nou goes down in his cane as the Tempest is free to wreck stuff up. With the Falcon taking up most of my ECM firepower every other cycle, I can only keep the Tempest jammed for so long. But it's not like our guys haven't been doing jack either -- an enemy cane goes down shortly after. It's hard to tell who's ahead at this point: 3 BCs on our side, 1BS and 1BC on their side. But the question quickly becomes moot as the pilot whose cane got destroyed comes back in the field with another cane literally a minute later and rapes Abominaire's cane with it -- oh, and he brought a Curse friend with him too.
Things are turning grim real fast: 2 BCs and 2 Cruisers on our side, 1BS 2BC and 2 Cruisers on their side, outgunning us by about 75% now. I check my jammers, and they're all at 70%+ overheated damage levels, and I know I can't keep up this ECM war with Falcon much longer since without overheat I don't stand a chance against him. This, and Caelum starts requesting jams on the Curse -- I shake my head and try my best, but there's no way I can sustain jams on Falcon, Curse and Tempest. Kwark our awesome fleet commander sagely advises everyone to GTFO NOW. Caluem in our third and last cane gets primaried and gets pounded into armor in seconds but he keeps his wits together, sees who's scramming him, and politely requests on teamspeak: "SOMEONE JAM THE CANE PLZ".
I'm half-way into my jam cycles, and it's a race against the clock now -- I prep all my mods to overheat one last time and the freaking red circle seems to be in slow-motion time. 5...4...3...2...1 I don't even bother trying to be efficient, I just pile everything I have on the cane, and Caelum immediately warps out with only 50% of his structure left as he professes his man-love for me (no homo). Everyone else warps out while I align out and stay behind to make sure I'm the last on grid and no one else gets tackled. It's clear, I warp out, and I slump in my chair out of exhaustion. Freaking stressful as hell, but a fight well fought.

Pretty hilarious =P You get out of the fight with 50% structure, you escape a station camp of 2 drakes, but then you die by jumping in after me into a 3 drake 1 curse gatecamp heh. It was just bad luck on your part tbh, I managed to burn out and crash with only structure left, no reason a cane couldn't do the same =T
And yeah, if we had an extra BC, BS or a scimmy, I think we could've won that fight ... although Falcon + Curse would've been tricky, especially with my jammers almost burned out towards the end of the fight. We're always lacking in firepower =T

well I just found this. I'm an industrialist with 4 accounts that lives in a wh mining abc's. I'm pretty much good on every industrial thing there is with some of my 0.0 alliance contacts and some really really old friends in pretty much everywhere. (Ie I literally know people invading fountain and people defending fountain and I know a few people who do the industrial side for Pl's current campaign. (if you don't think PL has the best industrialists in the game you don't know how 0.0 works)
I'm pretty much just doing my own thing right now with my current buddies so just pm me if you want an answer to a question I'll answer it to the best of my attention.
anyone use bombers in this corp? they form a very good alpha core even without the bombs. Also hellcats are very good ONLY with guardians but with guardians they are as good as you hear.

even so it would die to a hamdrake that can just keep him at 8km range and reduce his dps. the only reason this was close was cause he had gateguns shooting at me.

Those are always challenging fights, especially when the falcon pilot is competent. If you can split the Falcon onto the opposite side of gate while aggroed and preferably at ECM range, it gives you a lot of time to leverage superior dps against the rest of the ships.

the complete lack of propulsion mod for what's intended to be a kiting fit probably doesn't help.

A guy just bought 1.5b of faction ammo off me so I immediately scrambled the corp for a suicide gank on him as he left rens. Located him down but he was in a providence so instead I pmed him and sold him another 2b of faction ammo. For the first time in forever I have almost nothing to sell.

I read through the blog and it all looks the same to me except that it'll load faster and be easier on the eyes (being able to preview all contract items without opening it). I do like the fact that we'll finally be able to sort by courier rewards.
Only thing that will screw traders over is if it automatically fills an existing contract WTB order when someone tries to put up a (single item) contract that's less.
55 minutes of telling me stuff I already knew/was doing, 5 minutes of giving me new info that I realized after the fact was too much work for too little gain.
Someone buy my 6x 1200mm Rep fleet arties please, I need my ability to only have one outstanding contract available back T_T

Only way I can see a HAMdrake dying to a Hurricane is a full out dps/armor Hurricane. Hamdrakes are retarded good They just have shit range so you dont see them much.
Happyft also has the makings of a quality jammer, I'm rather impressed with his decision making. Now all he needs is a falcon and he's set.

He undocks and redocks so I get a nanodrake and sit 20k off undock with the rest of the fleet 1j away. A zealot undocks, I point it and attack and tell phisp to undock in his incursus. Zealot thinks he can kill the incursus and burn off out of point range. However in a nanodrake with thermodynamics V that's just not gonna happen.
The rest of the fleet warps in eventually but the job is done. The drake catches up and dual webs him and it's very over.
