I'm a little confused over why this drama occured now. I mean, is looking good on the killboards really that important? This is Team Liquid, the site full of people who say that your SC2 rank doesn't mean shit, because it doesn't. I'm not an EVE player, but the drama with Jayme seems pretty stupid to me, even when it looked like he lost a ship to his own stupidity.
Seriously, I hope I'm misunderstanding the situation here, because it looks to me like it's Jayme's loss, not the corp's, and the only problem is TL's reputation. The Hatchery isn't exactly a major EVE power to begin with, and the leader of the corp that declared war on us knows the score. Do we really care what randoms think, or are there further ramifications to the loss? Because if there isn't, I just do not get it.

The winner of the war is the one who kills more of the opponents shit. I like winning wars. Consider a war as a large, ongoing PvP op of which I am ultimately FC and you'll understand why I care.

I see. While I genuinely was curious, I now realise I asked it in an antagonistic fashion, and on top of that, you responded very calmly and were basically the bigger person here. Thanks, and I now understand perfectly.

The easier answer would be ''kwarks a whore''

Eve thread, the only place where you can get away with calling a mod "a whore"

No one in SCBW ever believes me when I ask is anyone around x place like Mot. Seriously, i was like "anyone want to make easy 200 mil" yesterday, no response. So I ended up flying 8 jumps to teu and behold! the pith b booster still there.
Edit: Most important thing is to have a good grasp of what all faction stuff is worth at a glance and decent isk pool to work with. Mot's explanation on how to value rare commander items was nice too. I still don't get where the hell you find all those contracts. I have a pretty good working knowledge on how much most things are worth but I can never find things quite as lucrative as people like Motbob could. I don't know if it's dedication or something but i'm slightly envious. I'd love that ability if only to shower me with cheap faction/deadspace crap.
im not slightly envious at him, im quite envious spent hours a few times looking at contracts, finding nothing, before i decided to leave it to the pros, i lack either skill or dedication in that department

I call that a win.
nice work, im getting quite impressed with hatchery's achievement more 0.0, less hisec wars though!

Is this worth picking up if you just like to craft and do trade runs? I have no interest in PVP and I haven't found a single decent MMO out there with a good trade system.

We're strongly considering starting an industry subsidiary of the Hatchery, but we wouldn't have any strong leaders (That I know of) to lead an industry corp.
But in short yes, this game is awesome for trade and crafting and trade runs, the in game economy of this game has won probably over 100 awards since it was introduced. Join SCBW and ask for a 21 day, though make sure you get it from someone that knows about trading industry etc =].

Hyey is the guy with 110m SP or something who insists he knows his shit but still pulls these stunts. Wait wait wait wait. Let's be serious here. It was a dumb mistake in a pretty quiet system(pretty sure they even knew I was there with a neut scout). My bad, shame on me for shooting the shit somewhere else. I can afford that loss so meh it sucks but the only person that really suffers for it is me. I wasn't nearly as AFK as people are implying as part of the joke but okay. However to imply I "pull these stunts" as if this is a routine thing is a bit of a leap. Not only is it a bit of a leap but it's a big stretch. If you kicked my mining alt from the corp that's cool and all but don't make it bigger than it is. AFK mining in Emol is every bit as retarded as sitting AFK in an active lowsec system, shit happens. Also that CNR was beyond my control Vil why must you keep bringing it up You are so cruel to me. Some guy decs us to see how terribad tl is at eve. You respond by sitting in our home system with WTs in local mining. You've been playing the game for like 7 years, you should be past this kinda stuff. It just makes all of us look bad. No it doesn't. You think it does do to...something but the only thing that happened was a dead mining ship. Chill bro, its a damn game. The reason I like flying with you guys is because you're skilled but still casual about it. Making this all about some imaginary damn ratio makes no sense. I've played for seven years yes but ill still make a mistake...and this was a fairly cheap one at that. For the record I mined nearly six hours undisturbed. Wasn't as if local was crawling with red stars, smarter than that. Fine, I'll limit your punishment to sitting through JP's PvP lesson. That ought to be sufficient. His voice isn't half as sexy as yours though. You can yell at me if you'd like, as long as you go heavy on the accent. Also http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1439907 nice clone guy I love it. Time for petition i guess, when the guy first did this char i told him this is bannable, but he made the excuse that he will only use it in SCBW. So he lied

I never played a Mmorpg (I love RTS) but this post has really intrigued me. Is it similar to X3: Terran conflict or is it harder/easier/better/worse than X3? Also, @Kwark I checked a few of your battle reports and I must say you are damned good at it.

The only issue we have right now is that roaming 0.0 is fun and all, but its kinda hard when you ask in fleet who wants to roam and you get this answer
x rifter (never roamed of my life) x rifter (went to lowsec once) x ?how do i fit my ship? x griffin etc.etc.
Im not trying to bash the new guys here, but were kind of lacking experienced pilots (SP is the biggest issue)
Nonetheless it was pretty fun yesterday, lost a cane in a very gay fashion (jumped into what I knew was 2 drakes and a curse, but hey, I had links in system and a blackbird nearby so I should have np burning out/crashing, but no, I have to jump and be sitting 3k from a curse and a drake, hf burning when youre in scram and web range already, anyways)

Eve probably has the most realistic and best market of pretty much MMO. CCP has, over the years, tried to become less and less involved in setting prices. The only way they really hold up prices is with insurance now that they are out of POS equipment. That being said, trying to become a successful industry player in EvE is quite difficult. The open markets are fun and complex, and therefore attract a ton of cutthroat, serious people. There is as much market PvP as real PvP in EvE

I could take questions about industry if people really want (Whopewpews is my indy character's name) but I wouldn't want to join the Hatchery due to all the wardecs.
