![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/orbrv.jpg) These WTs have proven themselves willing to camp a station full of afk players for hours on end with a fleet numbering at least 10. edits: welcome aboard raelcun, I'll warn you that the enemy corp we're fighting against at the moment is heavily US timezone, which means that they're more often than not camping us in our station with ridiculous numbers of ships while half of us are offline/afk. Sucks for the UStz people, but if you can get on during EUtz we can usually get some good shit running. Additionally if you start now, you'll likely start hitting the useful curve right around when Christmas hits, when I predict a lot of us will have a bit more free time to play internet spaceships and do some pretty cool shit, so that will be great. To the poster above, fucking do it. In eve you're pretty capped for your first two or so weeks until you finally train up the most basic skills to make you useful to us, so being able to get those skills out of the way during a time when you wouldn't have much time to play anyway is a pretty much win-win situation. edit2: What is wrong with me? As Orandos pointed out in corp chat, I'm actually being helpful for once. Next thing you know I'm going to buy a maelstrom and start carebearing... oh wait. | ||

rule 2: No one gives away "insider market info" rule 3: Don't trade in jita Maybe if your lucky a vet will point you towards something that is fairly profitable (for example buy X units of Y there, jump it 10 jumps to sell it there) but that for them isn't really worth it (someone with billions is his wallet isn't gonna do 10 jumps for a profit of 10mil). But asides that, the only thing you can rely on is yourself, there are enough tools out there to figure profitable things out for yourself, and in the long run it will actually make it good at it. Just start checking stuff in different regions, look at volumes traded, price trends, etc Keep yourself updated on certain big wars going on, and on future updates, and so on. Learn all the details and inner workings off the trade system, etc Oh and you might as well start now, no reason to wait untill all your learnings are done, you can still trade, or bring some trade related skills to like level 2-3 or so to start, or just already start checking prices in different regions for things, start checking price trends (for things to invest in), etc. Well atleast that's my opinion, but for someone new to eve that wants to trade one of the worst things you can do is just spoonfeed them some stuff. (oh and know what you start with, trading in eve is not actually playing the game anymore, since after a while you will not really haul stuff yourself, or if needed outsource that, so in that profession eve kinda tends to become spreadsheets in space) Oh and don't get to blinded with the numbers more experience traders throw around, I constanly see new people that come to the game immediatly asking if they can earn a plex like right off the bat, or what the way is to make hundreds of millions an hour, etc. Just start off with actually learning everything and just having some profit, after that start worrying about actually making the big bucks :p Just my 2 cents | ||

You've basically summed up everything I thought I needed to know (price difference in regions, volumes traded, price trends, patch notes, etc) into a nice convenient post which I can refer back to from a source I can trust (aka a TLer). One of the most interesting aspects of eve is how the free market works. I look forward to battling the manipulators and .01 iskers with my Trading skills and copious Excel spreadsheets  | ||

So I just summed up some things that popped into my head, I mean I didn't even scratch the surface at all of everything that is involved in trading if you wanna do it well ^^ If you want to have a bit actual help you can start by looking trough this: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Market_resources Or just browse trough the eve "market discussions" part of the eve forums, where there is a lot of stuff to be found. And ye depending on your knowledge of economics, it requires a bit of reading up (because well, in comparison to your other typical mmo's eve has a very complex market that resembles real life very well). But if you have like some amount of intelligence it's fairly easy to grasp the basic stuff and start trading. Just take steps at a time, and just keep increasing your knowledge base | ||

 Everyone ignored my question about the corporation.But anyway, I'm pretty well set on the name Nuclear Launch Detected, but I can't find a suitable corp ticker. GHOST was taken. So far I have these which I haven't tried: - KEKE (not feeling this one, but it is kinda funny) - 6POOL (sort of uninspired from the hatchery's 9POOL) - 4GATE (neutral) - OHSHI (pretty sure this one will be taken) - NOOOO (same) Any other suggestions on hopefully a nuclear launch in SC2 or something else SC2 related? 3-5 characters needed. | ||
