+ Show Spoiler + ![]() *Image courtesy of OEG* 6/11 – Hello Goons, Mittani is on a small trip so I will be filling in today. Savage Bastard actually mentioned this but a lot of people didn’t notice it because it didn’t say war update in the thread title. Last night before downtime and after downtime we hell purged 3bk. All hostile towers are down and our towers have been there long enough that we claimed sov 1 at downtime and we took the station. Inside the station we found their secondary stash of ammo, fuel and pos’s which they will no longer be able to use. This now leaves for those keeping score: * 5 Kenzoku sov systems * 2 Beach Boys sov systems * 2 hun reloaded sov systems * 1 exe sov system * 1 frontal impact sov system * 1 Torumentum sov system Not just in querious, not just in delve, not just in period basis but in the whole game. The majority of systems (excluding 49-) have one to two towers left holding sov as they moved the rest to the failed h74 invasion as they could not afford to risk more. We will spend our time picking off these last remaining targets before we get to the boss level that is 49-. 49- has all moons covered and its jammer is a battleship killing machine. Do not fool yourself that this is over, the boss level is always the hardest. Our enemies are expecting us in 49- tonight, our enemies are expecting us in 49- tomorrow, our enemies are expecting us in 49- over the weekend. In short, our enemies don’t know what the fuck we are going to do. We won’t make it easy on them by saying when we will hit 49-, instead we will let them sit there at full alert until we are ready. This is it. Get your ships ready. The end of kenzoku’s ability to show one sov system comes soon. In this regard there will be a State of the Goonion on Tuesday June 16th, 2009 at 0100 Eve Time which is Monday June 15th, 2009 8pm Central, 9pm Eastern. We will discuss our recent achievements and the future as we see it that will exist after querious. Kenny's member count since the Delve war started. + Show Spoiler + ![]() Credit goes to Graccus Meichun on Goonfleet.com

If you do get bored you can read through this thread. Short synopsis on the thread: Hulks are dedicated mining barges with special allowances for mining fittings and large cargo holds. They make a ton of isk for their owners, but have limited or no defenses against aggression. A pirate corp started a thread stating that for every post that followed in the thread, they would kill a helpless Hulk. And they've been following through, in hilarious ways.

Don't worry though, your friendly simians up north, Mostly Harmless, will begin taking hold of all the major systems. We know how to do things (hello 23/7 ec- gate camp). Yeah I was wondering about that. I know Aggression has been doing work in Immensea for a while, but I was surprised to see them on the Sov ticker up north at the same time. Talk about a far reach.

0.0 Alliances have to give up some fun in order to hold sovereignty wherever they're at. Fueling dozens of poses on a regular basis is a really fucking boring job to do, even with the big isk incentive there is to lay them down. For a corporation, having to do pos management while taking care of internal affairs can be stressful if not downright aggravating at times. Doing that while having an HC member breath down your neck to get your corpies to X up for countless CTA's will make you wanna give up so fast, by the time you announce your leave you'll already be halfway back to Jita. Now, how do other Alliances hold on to their territory for so long, then?..you might say. Well, there are several things that help keep a corporation in 0.0 working for their alliances. One of them, and probably the most noticeable, is money. If you give a corp an r64 moon or two to maintain for the alliance, you'll see their leaders wag their tails immediately, and honestly, after the first two or three bil that plink onto the corp wallet, they'll WANT to go to CTA's for the alliance. A nice moon can finance a corp's cap hangar, and totally opens a corp to much more FUN as they get to spend their cash on pew instead of having to grind it, ala ratting or production. A smaller corp might be happy to get a good ratting system to hunker down and make isk in, and a carebear corp will definitely like access to mercoxit. Everyone loves money. The second thing that keeps a corp in allegiance to their power block, and probably the one that REALLY affects the psyche of a corporation, is drive. Drive, better known as fighting spirit, doesn't come from material gain (although it creates it), but from the charismatic ways that the upper echelon of leadership leads. It's not hard to see how making friends with the directors of other corps will form strong bonds that will be hard to break later on. It makes sense as well that an alliance should create an image for those corpsies' lowly peons to attain. Nothing gives a capsuleer a stiffy better than a triumphant speech on teamspeak after a well fought and won battle over their enemies (Mittani). Keeping a positive attitude about alliance duties and objectives during downtime as well will keep your citizens logging in to play. You lose this.. slowly, but surely, the alliance's gears will stop turning so effortlessly, and corps might keep quiet in alliance chat and talk about greener pastures in some other region of 0.0 space in corp chat. That being said, IRON definitely wasn't running out of money. Period Basis has a really nice amount of good moons to go around, and those corps that left IRON took their towers OFF THE MOONS and left with them. There was definitely something going on in the higher levels of IRON command. Probably some shit said about another's mother or something. Regardless, I think at this point in IRON's long long history, something finally snapped, a bunch of fuck you's were thrown around, and many people left. It wasn't TRI, the NC helped IRON when their moons were getting jacked by the WTF coalition, so yeah, shit must have gotten real bad. The game must have stopped being fun for those who left, and those who stayed are probably all riled up as well. In all cases, IRON is still part of the NC, so if they stick around, even in a much more reduced state than they are now, they'll have their backs. But for the moment, NC will probably do some policing action to keep tri out of pb and to work on resettling the area (with poses) so that we have a buffer from any sort of zany invasion from any of the countless upstart alliances that want a piece of that delicious sovereignty.

Kenzoku and their "associates" have a total of eight systems with friendly sov. Six of these eight are sov3: RKZ: 49-U (Station), DG- RAX: O-WT EXE: AO-N BU-FU: YF-, 8QT Out of these DG- has 0 RKZ towers remaining (sov should flip after DT if I'm not misreading something), O-WT has a single Caldari Large, 8QT and YF- both have a single Amarr large. No goon-friendly systems are being contested.

The Jammer will probably have several Titans and other cap ships at it. I wouldn't be surprised if Goons just sort of chokes them out. As kazo said, this game is about fun, and being in one system (I'm assuming Goons will camp 49-) for an extended period of time would be boring and the members of the GBC will get restless. 49-U Jammer is dead, 3 Battleships lost.

In counter attack, KenZoku declared that with this latest underhanded play the Goons were held in contempt, even hatred by the majority of the game. KenZoku/BoB themselves would be bringing every last erg of power and cent of cash in their greater-coalition to bear on them. KenZoku asked "How on earth do you plan to survive against, not only the crushing force we can bring to bear, but everyone who's ever had a grudge against you?" GoonSwarm publicly replied: "lolz wut?"
