The game is pretty well-balanced. It depends on what you want to do. For example, Caldari is great for missions, and therefore, making isk. However, many of their ships are not suited for solo pvp. If you're just beginning and want to know about fitting your ships. Visit the eve forums and scrapheap-challenge.com. It's difficult at first but everything will become intuitive after a while. Like, don't try to fit both a shield and armor tank and try not to mix your guns. o, and EFT is very handy: http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=548883 Each race has pros and cons and they all go through cycles of nerfs and buffs. The thing that puts newbies off the most is learning skills. I should tell you about them now because the earlier you get them, the faster you will skill up. Problem is, getting them to a high level usually burn out a lot of newbies. A lot of people will tell you to train them right away. It is optimal, in terms of advancing SP, to do this but it leads to a lot of frustration. IRC correctly, getting all basic and advanced learning skills to 4 takes 2-3 months. Don't focus entirely on those, train them at your leisure. IMO, it's much better to train for skills that let you use the items/ships you want. O, and just because you chose Amarr or Gallente, it doesn't mean that you can't crosstrain to use other races ships. But we're usually talking about way in the future.

We did this by using either cloaked or very mobile ships to move into areas the enemy ostensibly "controlled", and setting up camp. Our objective was to break enemy morale by killing them without them ever being allowed to return the favor, and to disrupt their economic activity by killing anything that wasn't an organized PvP gang. There would be anywhere between 5-30 of us online in the target region at a time. We would keep our clients running at all times, and because EVE doesn't have a automatic logout feature, it would be very difficult for our opponents to know whether we were active or not. Basically, it meant that they either withdrew into the safety of their stations whenever we were online (which was 23/7), or they played roulette every time they undocked in a PvE ship (since they were guessing that we were AFK). Basically we denied them any use of their space for PvE purposes, made PvP pointless (as we'd just cloak or run away before they could engage us), and broke their morale, making them failure cascade even quicker once the main Fleet arrived.

If I was writing a paper or something, I'm just tab into the game, run a scan to see if anybody was active, and then tab out if they weren't. That way we could have round-the-clock presence in their systems without playing more than 1-2 hours a day.

1) About 15 goons create new accounts 2) All of them join different clans, preferably top ones. 3) Level up, milk as much stuff from those alliances as possible 4) When high enough level, leave the clan 5) Steal whatever possible 6) Reform into real alliance and kick arse based on all the information stolen. Wtf, seriously.

BoB has always tried to take the moral high ground on everything. In actuality, BoB were the first entity to truly utilize metagaming and propaganda. The problem is that they're fighting a force better at metagaming and "forum warefare." I mean, when was BoB's last meaningful victory over anyone? They've been riding their victories in the north for gods know how long.
