But if you cancel your pre-order, wouldn't you just go out and buy the game on the 20th anyway? Having it pre-ordered at least it saves you the hassle of having to purchase it when it releases. I had pre-ordered the day it was announced, not knowing that there was going to be EGA iirc. Hope you get in soon ;D

For my case there are more options in terms of vendors selling the game compared to when I first pre-ordered.
Might save myself a few bucks.

what's the light point and dark point do? can i change faction and become a sith if i gain a lot of dark points during missions as a jedi?

no, it alters the story and you can use special items when heavy light/dark.
Also might change appereance.
factions are seperated from darkside/lightside, even though most imperials are dark sided and republicans are lightsided.
If everyone wants to split due to time differences I understand that but keep in mind you can play on any server regardless of region.
I personally refuse to play any game with a ping over 80, it just makes me rage.

Being Australian, no game ever has a ping under 200. I feel lucky when I have in the 200-250 range.

I had access to a beta weekend and had to roll on a US server due to heavy queue times on EU servers. I had a 150 ms average latency, not really annoying, but a little. This playing solo or in party (flashpoints). Then i queued for a warzone and that was really unplayable, cannot realize what my pg was doing. So, as an italian netplayer, i prefer to roll in a EU server.

So, the link provided for server status is just inconsistent. good start for an mmo launch... let's hope there ar eno huge queues like Aion at least.

I believe the european servers are put under the same category as the US servers, however, if you look at the timezone, west and east are for US servers, the other servers which have "n/a" are mostly european servers

I have received confirmation from a friend of mine who pre-ordered like ages ago that EU servers are up and running.
He got the confirmation email and was able to play starting today. I hope i'll get my early access soon. I'm tired of hearing people around me saying they got into early access :D
