hello people.

i have not preordered the game (yet).

today i visited the retailer in my area (thats how i do things, dont rly like digital purchases) and he told me that as of tomorrow(14 december 2011) i can acquire the full box of the game. will this include me to the headstart people seem to be getting or will i need a preorder code?

ah, i am interested in the EU servers (i currently live in greece). so any info on the headstart there is greatly appreciated aswell.

I got my invite at 7:30am, but I cant play till Wednesday, this is killing me. On a side note it seems like most TL'ers are playing on The Twin Spear Server, so I'll roll their and join the empire ;D kekeke

Someone should start a Let's play SWTOR thread after all 4 guilds are created... (US Empire + Republic, EU Empire + Republic) or 8 if anyone here goes for PVE but I doubt it :D. I pre-ordered in november so meh hoping for teh weekend :D

Ok I'm going to lose my mind searching for this maybe someone can help me. I want to sort out crew skills.
So in all items(weapons armors etc etc) there are possible modifications/slots. 1 per item up to 4 different ones, for example light saber has, hilt, crystal, mod and enhancement. So now:

Enhancements - slots for enhancements (duh...) crafted by Artifice for example - this. If I understand this correctly those are for everybody, they have different stats and every class will use them, right?
Hilts - for light sabers crafted by Artifice aswell, example
Crystals - self explanatory Artifice again
Barrels - mods for weapons other then lightsabers (which use crystals), made by Armstech
Now the parts i cannot find info
Mods - some of them can upgrade your armor level to make it last you for longer, made by Cybertech

and now the question part
Armoring - what/who makes those? Are they drops only ? Along with Enhancements, Mods they are present in all items no matter which class.

So can anyone help me?

Really looking forward to EGA too. Everybody seems to agree PvP servers are the best fit, but why? I'm an MMO noob but it seems like the only difference is the ability to get ganked by randoms while trying to quest on your own. I look forward to lots of the PvP arenas and stuff too, but not interested in annoyingly getting killed when I'm not ready. People thinking differently opinions are welcome.

BTW, I'll be playing on an EU server when i get access (reg'd Dec. 1) and would be happy to try playing with some of you guys. I think I'll go Republic since it will be less populated, but honestly I have no idea what's expected from a guild or what I should do.

I hate that I have to wait around. I like to plan my day ahead of time and set aside my gaming time. If they only sent out emails in advance instead of the day of so I wouldn't be so anxious and I could plan accordingly.

Because it adds another level of "awareness" (not sure what words best used to describe it) to playing, and some of the most fun PvP usually comes from world PvP.
Of course there are also situations where you just get killed by a group of 4 and there's really nothing you could have done about it, but you just learn to live with it.
It's also good having another thing to do at max level.
It's not for everyone though, so you might fit perfectly well on a PvE server, but personally I'd NEVER roll on a PvE server.

Well in WoW for example before flying mounts existed a lot of fun moments came from random pvp outside of popular quests spots or instances. Obviously its not for everyone but I think its fun having the danger of ganking or being ganked...adds an extra element to the game.
