I hear mixed things on all fronts and I trust you guys on teamliquid. So how's it hanging SWTOR guys? I wouldnt really say they have been diminishing much, since they sold a million copies in the first few days, they have sold another million since then (and that was about a week ago so probably even more by now) But i would definitely say there is less players playing at any given time then say 2 weeks ago, mainly because peoples playing patterns are starting to normalize. Im really enjoying the game (level 49) and with them adding content patches every 2 months (with the first one coming out in a few days. I dont think i will have any problem finding stuff to do. One of the real pulls to the game though is defintely playing alts. As each story is different , even if you played the same class but a different advanced class and chose different options throughout the game you could have a very different experience. I mean you can choose to kill someone and you wont see them again but if you dont they may have a role in the story down the line. Im just excited to hit level 50 tonight. Lots of hard mode flashpoints to do, decent amount of raid content (especially if you include nightmare and hardmodes + 8 and 16 man versions) I really do beleive they did the right thing by choosing to spend a majority of development refining the levelling experience . I would much prefer a great story driven leveling experience to start out, then an extra raid for the end game it just makes alot more sense so early in the games life. Even with that being said , it seems that content will be released on a much more regular basis then say, wow. So in 6 months time im sure there will be more than enough content then most of us could keep up with. So if your just starting and your not gonna be playing outrageous hours everyday by the time you hit 50 it will be pretty close to the next update and there will be even more content. Guild capital ships sounds like an awesome idea, i cant wait for that.

The fact there are no cross server queue's actually makes alot of people enjoy the game more. I cant tell you the number of times ive run into people i remember and actually hold a grudge against. When is the last time you even played with the same person on WoW? (Other then premades ofc.) It makes it a hellalot more enjoyable. They will need to start merging servers its as simple as that. I dont know how they can address the lack of republic on every server, but there must be servers with a closer ratio. I dont know how hard it is to accomplish but couldnt they merge the republic / empire sides to different servers? At any rate, if there were more republic and empire. it probably wouldnt be as bad as the republic would be able to muster up something, as opposed to having 40 in fleet ( -_- sorry man.) if they had ~150 and empire had ~250 it would be alot easier. Even in open world pvp i reckon.

My current SWTOR guild has albs, hibs, mids from the same daoc server. It has alliance & horde from the same wow server. And everyone met on the battlefield (or battleground in wow). With crossserver play (if it would've been reasonable in the case of daoc) we would've never met. So I at least hope that the same team keeps serverside. Opposing team - while annoying for me personally - could be crossserver (but I'd say it's a valid solution if queue times really rise significantly). If have Imp alts on the same server (50 "soon" (tm)). Do I count as republic / empire?

Then my birthday came, and my gf bought me like 10 games from the last steam sale. Needless to say I'm probably going to put this game on the backburner for a bit, I'm just hoping a major release like gw2 or d3 doesn't come out in the mean time. But as many players as there are that bought the game, I'm also finding the servers feeling incredibly empty. Maybe its because I'm still quite low and not guilded, but I guess it's hard to compare when most people are using the 10 million playerbase from wow and the like. Edit: I also play at ridiculous late hours (1am and later EST), but even a west coast server didn't seem to help the lack of players. I'm really enjoying the game, but it sorta feels more like a single player game and less like an mmo for now.

No mechanic differences between Normal and Hard mode. Hope Nightmare mode will be a challenge.

They need to merge servers or have cross-server, that's the bottom line.

Been playing since pre-launch and I'm simply loving this game. Keep on destroying nubs ![]() Sure thing bro, keep spreading false info about biochem. The more common it is, the sooner the nerfs. Biochem is not mandatory for anything, it's a bonus. Biochem isn't going to carry you from the bottom to the top of the chart. Remember that with no diminishing returns, you're better off running cybertech bombs. IMO, run biochem if you're a light wearer, run cyber tech if you're not. Oh, I'm sorry if I offended you. If that's you oppinion sure. I just fail to see how cyber tech is even remotly better then this. -Adrenal- Bonus: 565 Power. 3min CD, 15s duration, shares cooldown with other adrenals only - Stim for each main stat +136+and power+56, GCD only, last untill death or 60? mins - -Rakata Medpac- 5000-6000heal +2000hot/15secs every 1min 30s, shares CD only with other medpacs. In PVP the expertise adrenals are infinitely better and will be on cooldown with the biochem adrenal in 1.1 meaning you can't use both. In addition to this when they fix the bugs for exotech recipes the stims, adrenals and medpacs available to everyone else are about 99% as good as the ones biochems get, effectively making biochem the worst crafting skill available. However while Exotech recipes are still bugged, biochem is about equivalent to the other crew skills given that a regular person is using the non-reusable biochem materials. (which they should be because there is nothing else to spend money on at level 50) So to answer the original quoted statement - Biochem *WAS* a must, but now with the 1.1 biochem nerf (which was meant to fix people getting instagibbed in PVP - Operatives critting for over 10k) it is about the same as other crew skills. Once they fix Exotech recipes then Biochem is effectively useless.

Has cost me 7-8 games easily. Like 600 commendations i'll never get back. I've noticed disconnect issues with a few of the movement skills as well. When collecting datacrons I was teamed up with a Sorc (they have the life-grip ability). I disconnected 4-5 times one day through using intercede and through being life gripped, really annoying considering there was a queue of over 500 (and even 1400 queue at one point). It really made getting datacrons a painful process.
