Why do you think 12 was bad? Because final fantasy series in my book was always about: 1. Outstanding storylines and developments 2. Brilliant characters that users interact with 3. Sensational music and good themes. 4. Best graphics at the time it's being released 5. Addictive and fun game-system that draws people In 12, only 4 was achieved and all the others were neglected.. Horrible characters and one of the most boring storylines ever.. Dull music with even worse background/arts and suffocating battle themes with dungeons that never seems to end..

Their loss. I'm sure about 10x as many people will get it now. I seem to recall another time this happened. FF7 anyone? Wasn't this chronicled as one of the best games ever? Yes you're correct. However, 7 wasn't mutli port.. All the sagas were single-ported at the time, (excluding the ports they done on computer for 7 and 8 and this was understandable because computer-platform isn't really a rival as in console industry) and 13 would be the very first in the series where they are releasing in 2 different consoles concurrently.. I mean salewise and successwise, yea this is wise move but just can't help thinking morally it's wrong.. The developers also stated initially that Final Fantasy 13 would be ps exclusive so this doesn't help either..

If it's not a good game, you don't get it. What is FF? Some sort of status symbol or something? FF stands for Final Fantasy. It's the most popular RPG game in Japan and made a huge impact in gaming industry.

(I also remember people thinking he was seriously that big of a nerd lololol) I'm not a die hard FF fan, but I thought FF12's gameplay was pretty good, ending made me vomit repeatedly though. I'm sure 13 will do better, just because it's on the next-gen consoles. Problem is, I don't have a PS3 or 360. ![]() Wow.. I like your ID.. and yea I wish i owned PS3 or an XBOX.. But i hear XBOX is dropping its price ridiculously atm so might be good to get one when 13 is out..

TheSpoonyOne on youtube did an entire video series on eight, and quite frankly none of the games after eight really did anything to try to bring new light to the party. All the series has been since the release of VII is them trying to remake VII just with another "I" tacked on the end, or if you're real classy an "X" added somewhere. And to be perfectly honest, VII was mainly trying to be VI except in 3D. The Final Fantasy series is one of those (groups of) games that no matter what the content of the game, people are so fanatical about it that it'll be purchased by the truckload. Hmm.. I agree that 7 was the best in the series and it has been going downhill but under what facts are you judging these by?? Apprntly, 8 had more sales than 7 and 10 got really good reviews.. Personally though, 7 was best imo and then 6 and 9, 10 then 8..

I played Tactics and FF8. Playing FF8 when I first got it was fun because that was the first time I saw 3d graphics. The story however I didn't like especially the last 2 disks. Tactics, however, is an art game. Recommendable to anybody

Ashe was o-KAY (didn't get to her but my roomie did b/c he has a higher tolerance than me for boring gameplay. Also, most FF games are man vs world or saving the world or w/e. XII was just kinda like nation vs nation. Yeap though you'll have to play slightly longer than 2hrs to understand it.. Though yea 12 definately had the worst storyline/characters and yea ashe is no where near as adorable as tifa or rinoa..

I guess when you try and play ff7 these days, what with ps3 and xbox graphics being the stnadard.. Then yea.. Still.. ff7 had the best storyline in any game and the way it's presented is still the best imo.. You really have to just look over the graphics and play it thinking its a long movie or something..

Probably i'd give it a 10/10 for completedness but like what some said, its slightly childish and the villains are not as good as other series.. Still.. 9 my favourite after 7 :D

Other than the draw system (which I didn't really mind at the time), I don't understand the hate. Not a big fan of 9, 10, and 12 tho.. Ya it was the draw and the junction that really pissed me off about this game.. But other than that, it was still respectable ![]()

I also don't agree with the fact that FF has gone downhill since VII. IX is one of the best releases in the series imo (Vivi!) and I've put a lot of hours in XII (close to 90 I think, stupid hunts), although I have to agree that the storyline wasn't good. I don't think X was that bad, although I could never get into X-2 and I just rushed through that game so I could at least finish it once. And while I am a fan of the older parts (V and VI) a lot of flaws can be found in those games as well. People just turn nostalgic nowadays when old games come up and it sounds cool if you mention FF V or Chrono Trigger as the best RPG ever, but most old games have flaws as well that just tend to get overlooked when looking back at it. I'm not saying those games are bad cause I've enjoyed them and enjoy the re-releases on the DS as much the next person. FF VII FF IX FF VI FF V FF X FF XII The rest

Sorry but if you think its a bad thing that FF has gone downhill since 7 your an idiot, its prolly the best fucking RPG fucking ever and if you think even SE can fucking top it then you are dumb as shit. FF10 was a great game, so was 12, 11 may have been a misstep but hell every series has their pitfalls. You all are so quick to proclaim your love for FF but have no faith in the new direction that their creators take the game, same with fucking StarCraft you damn heretics. New direction?? I'm not criticizing ff12 for its gamesystems.. Nor any of the other series for that matter.. If you played 7, then you'll know how good the storyline/music/characters were as well as the gameplay.. However, 12 has just about the worst storylines you can come up with, not to mention world's most boring theme songs and background arts, + possibly the worst characters in the series, including the 1st one which practically had no characteristics in characters at all.. NO I do not expect ff7 on every release, for I greatly enjoyed 9 and think its 2nd best after 7. However, going online-rpg for 11 and now 12 being the worst in the saga, one has to consider whether this series is goind downhill. 10 was good I admit yet the characters were not as memorable as others.

(I love the tantalus!!!) Good thing about 9 is they moved back from the futuristic fantasy feel they had in 7 and 8 and it had really good music and atmosphere. Rather like old fairytale and they revived 4people battle system :D Mmmm never really liked 5.. but 6 yea.. Definately one of must-play in the series.. How Kefka's castle used to haunt me.. and I still think Chrono Trigger and 7 is the best RPG all time though I have not played zelda so could be wrong..

I couldn't handle how cheesy it looked, and I never did "get into" the characters. Even more so than I did with part 12. Which was also a horrible part in my eyes. Overall I really just disliked FF9. (The ending was pretty zzz as well) 12's characters really lacked sustenance, they barely had any "Gut punch" twists with any of them. The biggest one being Baltar was an ex-judge... Oh yippy? The story was the same as well. It wasn't interesting, it seemed to really drag out. Along with everything else. You'd run aimlessly through the areas until you come to a cut-scene of 1 minute of talking, repeat. It got boring very fast. (But me being the hardcore FF player I am, had to beat it. Along with getting some of the hardest items in the game. Janguro Dagger anyone?[sp?]) Things I did like about 12, were the fact there was high leveled monsters early on in the game. Killing them provided great reward. Finding rare items was sometimes fun. Gold was useful for the most part, and sometimes fairly hard to get. I don't know why everyone talks shit on FF8, the game was very good up until the whole Luna/Space/Laguna story part unfolds. Then it gets cheesy. But the character growth and development is the best in any final fantasy game I find. You can tailor your guys for once. Sure it had its VERY annoying aspects. Drawing spells.... Shit that got really old. Also the few loopholes of being able to get infinite gil. But yeah, I really like 8. Almost as much as 7. The same thing goes with FFX, I thought it was a great game too. The characters were all pretty interesting. I actually liked the spheregrid idea. Once again it falls into the "Custom tailoring" aspect. I thought the story was great. Other than the fact Auron, and Tidus are actually dead. (That was a bit cheesy) Now with part 7, the only thing I didn't like about it.... Well it was really easy. That was about it. Why is it no one ever talks about parts before 6? 6, and 4 were awesome games. I admittedly never have played 2 or 3 though. They seem to similar to part 1. Oh yeah, and I fricken can't wait to play Final Fantasy Versus XIII. It looks wicked.
