Storyline sucked balls. Waiting just to smack guys with auto-attack sucked balls. Graphics were good. No hot girls. Ashe was o-KAY (didn't get to her but my roomie did b/c he has a higher tolerance than me for boring gameplay. Also, most FF games are man vs world or saving the world or w/e. XII was just kinda like nation vs nation. | ||

CFDragon I don't really see what point you are trying to make. All games since VII have been trying to be like it and VII was trying to be like VI? That is what a game series is. There are going to be similarities between them. Anyway, IX was trying more to be like the classic FF games than it was trying to be like VII. I don't think that the series has necessarily been going downhill. The quality just fluctuates from game to game. For me, the order of quality is IX, VI, X, VII, VIII, XII. Edit: I think XIII looks amazing, but of course we haven't seen much actual gameplay. | ||

For order of quality of games for me Tactics, 6/7, 9,8,12,10 Tactics IMO has the single best story out of the ff games, closely closely followed by 6. FF7 was an amazing game, which for when it was released and even now, has a solid story, solid characters, and it at the time set a level in which rpgs had to be made. 6 had a better story, better characters, and has much much higher replayability. 9 was addictively fun, much moreso than 6 or 7 but was really childish, but still alot more addictive. 8 i would rank on par with 6 and 7 if not for the horrible last two cd's of the game, the first two were insanely insanely well done. and 12 sucked outside graphics and battle system, and 10 was just plain horrible. | ||

ASHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHA what a legend ff9 had the best characters compared to any other ff, they all interacted with each other, the leads weren't emo fags that didn't know how to socially interact with other characters(re, 7;8) | ||

I liked FF8 too, even though it makes some of my friends cringe. Other than the draw system (which I didn't really mind at the time), I don't understand the hate. Not a big fan of 9, 10, and 12 tho.. | ||
