I can recommend you Phantasy Star Universe (X360). Amazing, just amazing. Talking about older RPGs there is one RPG which destroys FF in any aspect: Breath of Fire III and IV. | ||

AC was ok It wasnt perfect, but it was far better than the majority or FF7 spinoffs (Dirge of cerebus I'm looking at you) | ||

i started with final fantasy 7 which i found absolutely great and still count as my no. 1 gaming experience. apart from that i've also played western rpgs such as the fallout series, bg, planescape torment which are equally good, but different. dunno where the problem is. you can't compare it as both "genres" i would almost say, stand for different cultures. | ||

It wasn't that great as the 1st has no characters, (well they do but they don't get developed) and is like the very first rpg made from square company so we see a lot of experimental side of it.. 2nd was a lot better and had quite decent story yet still focused more on the gameplay rather than the story or the characters.. Both games were excellent to kill time while I was travelling and like someone mentioned, requires a lot of levelling up lawl.. | ||
