This is the funniest shit I've ever read HAHAHAHA I love how one guy said "vini vidi vici" about playing HON @ what was probably sub 200 MMR level (I know someone who is 200 MMR and I can guarantee he'll play better in a F2P game than a first time LoL player in a HON game). I don't think he knows what that means, since I'm pretty sure he didn't conquer HON.

I really disliked LoL's system of purchasing heroes ![]() but HoN's doing the same this time around. It just feels unfair for those that won't be able to use all heroes, especially in HoN. In LoL it honestly didn't matter because it was LoL but HoN is a whole different game and not having a hero would be so different. Doesn't matter I guess since I purchased it but still. Well, at least previous users get Legacy accounts. ![]() Edit: You can filter games :D so basic, verified and legacy accounts would be in different games and mm.

Kotl part was pretty subpar; soul ring is an awful build for that (bottle works better as kotl has no hp). I've actually used jungle kotl in ihl's before, and the way he's doing it is way too risky.

Is there a decent scene esports wise for HoN? Thinking of picking it up but don't want to bother investing time in it without a decent scene to keep me interested. Scene is pretty heavily entrenched. If you've never played dota then I wouldn't bother trying to get in.

I played pretty competitively on a amateur level in dota for a year or two, I have a pretty good concept of these types of games. More or less wondering if its worth the effort to get good at for the sake of competitive play (not saying pro level just in general)

I played pretty competitively on a amateur level in dota for a year or two, I have a pretty good concept of these types of games. More or less wondering if its worth the effort to get good at for the sake of competitive play (not saying pro level just in general) It used to be that there were like a dozen pro teams who could get into tournaments and there was nothing which was open invite. Now thats a bit better with the new TT esports thing they just had a massive tournament anyone with a team could play in. There's also the OK inhouse league which lets people play in competitive style matches. Just grab a few friends and TMM up the ladder before you do anything is what I'd say.

But when dota 2 comes out I think everything else will just die.

Yea good call, probably just better off saving the effort for dota 2. Probably pick it up casually in the meantime when I get burned out on sc2.
