Yeah, some people also complain about how not being able to play the new hero the first month breaks the balance somehow. Like you don't have other heroes that can fill that same role.
We got 2 new heroes today, one was early access, the other was not. Would you have complained if you only got 1 today even though Monkey King was done? I think you're just pouting 'cause you can't try it out immediately.
But what do I know? Monkey King might very well be the best hero in the game and if you're ever up against one, it's an insta-loss.
However, the model for the new f2p players sucks. It's really bad.

I've probably played about 2,500 games on HON over the last 2 years, at an average of probably 2-3 hours a day played.

Welp, then it'd only take 2 years of fairly dedicated play to unlock every hero available now! Of course in 2 years, there's probably at least 24+ more heroes if they do monthly releases (don't they release more often?). So yeah.

I think one of the worst things about the new system is that the free heroes seem to be random. In a 5v5 without any legacy player, you could end up forced to really a really shitty team. At least in LoL they manually select the free heroes so that even a full team with them is reasonably balanced, plus I believe you can have the same hero on both teams. Right now like half of them are agi heroes.
It also looks like it can take quite a few games to get some characters from silver coins.
Even if people that bought it already won't be affected that much, the F2P model really does not look that good.

pretty awesome patch all around imho. about time they took after LoL and lured in all the cheapskates :D
friend bonus is a creative way to tackle the shitty community, at least for new players.
also, interesting balph/engi buffs and finally a myrm nerf.
still think sol's bulwark is ridiculously cost effective though... haven't seen a reason to not get it once your team has the advantage... completely changes teamfights and makes pushing/konging so easy. also a nice indirect buff to deadwood pubrape. =]

Bulwark is incredible against several teams. So versatile!

IMO, Bulwark is incredible on every team, every time, against every team, every time.
It costs 1800 gold and gives a massive armor swing, and makes pushing towers easy as hell.
