You've made like 300 questions about mundane sf4 stuff already, all of which can be answered by googling. try more like 3 questions, and google doesn't always help, especially with such a uber hyped game as sf4, 90% of the shit that comes up has to do with when it will come out. And who cares anyways, you can ignore it, its not like i'm sidetracking the thread for 3 pages. This is, afterall, the OFFICAL sf4 thread, where we discuss everything sf4 right? If you had questions I would try and answer them if I could. On that note, anyone else have 'hot-micing' issues where your sound just feedback loops or something repetitively and sounds like techno lol for the people you play on live? I don't even have a mic hooked up, it was so fucking funny when I heard what it sounded like after about 20 matches and 5-6 messages saying "TURN YOUR MUSIC OFF NIGGER", etc. I muted the mic (even though there isn't even one hooked up). I had a similar issue with vent where it would play really loud whenever i tried to talk and you couldn't even hear me.

Can you still >,MP demon , Dash demon, HK demon? And what other BnB does he have besides jump in/D.flip-kick , LK/MK, LK Tatsu, HP Goshoryu Also what is a good way to stuff people who spam wakeup SRKs (and EX versions) ?

An ultra demon trick I use is if your opponent is full screen away, throw a hadoken. If they jump over it, you can input your ultra and often times you will land it just as they are hitting the ground. It's a kind of a newb trick, but it's still pretty neat. > ![]()

Sanford (playing dhalsim for evo i think) using akuma here, pretty damned good. Especially round 3, from about 3:12 - 3:20 c,lp x3, lk-tatsu, ex-hp srk, ex focus cancel, red fireball.

Also, if someone is dumb enough to jump at your wakeup attempting a safe jump, reversal demon will beat anything they do. best demon setup I've seen is the one I saw ed ma do: crossup ex tatsu just before hitting the ground (it whiffs, keeps you airborne) and demon immediately so that it comes out as you touch the ground. This works stupidly well.

I've done whiffed cr.mk > Ultra demon for an AAA once, I think its not really reaction thing, more like something you anticipate. Momochi in one of his videos versus daigo also did it not as an anti-air but as a footsie tool, whiffing the cr.mk while buffering the ultra and as daigo attempts to punish... boom

Maybe I have a faulty interpretation of Akuma in SF4 (after all, I never played him at a semi-decent level), but I see him as a much more defensive and reactive character than in previous games, using few gimmicks at a high level. His walk speed is really fast for a qcf fireball zoner. He's got the ultimate tools for creating and baiting mistakes, and then he does such high reliable damage on punishes. Aside from some prime demon flip mixup scenarios, his careful zoning play against most characters has the best risk/reward IMHO. So I would say that he has a few decent demon setups, but they're not worth actively pursuing (i.e. aggressively creating opportunities) because his other options are better. I think my point was that "typical demon setups" don't really exist in standard play basic Akuma, and beginners have many better things to learn with the character first. Granted, anti-air and punish demons are terrific, and there's a good deal of capacity for other styles of play, and some opponents have a hard time dealing with aggresive play and/or gimmicks, etc. of course.

How I got to the video was from another one where he is playing Dhalsim vs Sagat for some evo qualifier at an arcade.

But yeah Sanford is not a Dhalsim player. Also to the dude saying no one at EVO is using akuma.. 2 of the 5v5 teams have akuma players, maybe more since the lineups on all the teams except EC and WC are somewhat uncertain until the day of.

Badass PS- I was arguing with my friend the other day about 2 things, 1 that ryu is in his late twenties (He thinks he's late 30s or 40s at least). 2 is that the original SF they say "ah-you-kan" instead of 'shoryuken' , same with tatsumaki. They say that shit right?
