Currently just using spare artifacts with as much Energy Recharge% and HP on them. Thinking ER, HP, HP or 3*HP depending if I can get enough ER substats. Not sure about artifacts either. 2P Millelith looks good, then either 2P Noblesse or 2P Maidens set. Depends if I need the healing or not I think. Will probably end up putting whatever spare artifacts since I'll either get Zhongli or Eula and then they will be the priorities to build up. Plus Bennet is the new monthly Paimon starglitter deal and I don't have a Bennett either. And so I will run out of resources. Though I suppose I have a whole month to mull over getting Bennett or not. And 2 weeks to think about Zhongli or Eula. | ||

I had her with some leftovers until now, 2 piece Cryo, 2 piece Wanderer. Not really useful She doesn't dish out any damage basically. Noblesse is not worth it either. That's why I wanna go 4-piece Tenacity. Bigger shield and dmg for the party. At least for 3 seconds Abyss 11-3 What do you guys do against the shields? Any options beside freezing their asses off? Diona is my only build Cryo unit, and she doesnt' work too well. How do those shields work anyway? Is it just tick damage and the amount is moot? Then maybe Klee ult will work well 74 wishes in on Zhonglis 100% pity. It's only a matter of days now <3 | ||

Because you can have the shield so often, you don't need to heal that often so i lowered the energy recharge in favor of more HP. I personally use Maiden Beloved x4.Unfortunatly, Retracing Bolide x2 doesn't enhance the shield when diona is swapped. Having both the shield and the healing on a single character is amazing since it allows for more subdps characters in the team. Her only downside is that it's a chibi and not a waifu. | ||

It's only a matter of days now <3 Finally checked out new abyss. Definitely harder. I didn't expect to be unable to 3 star floor 11-3. I don't think I'll be able to 9 star complete Floor 12 this time either. If the Hydro shields of the Abyss Herald are like the Abyss mages how the shields work is that certain elemental damage attacks (or elemental reactions to be more precise) take away a set amount of the shield. How much and which attacks cause the shield to be depleted are completely arbitrary. Nothing else affects the amount depleting the shield. Attack rating or EM does not affect how much shield is removed. Certain elements are more effective than others against certain elements. For instance Hydro is noticeably more effective against Pryo shields than any other element. So, if the Hydro shields of the Abyss Herald are like the Abyss mages, and from what I can tell so far they do, all the elements apart from Hydro should work to deplete the shield, but Cryo is the most effective, then Electro, then Pyro, then lastly Geo and Anemo. I am guessing through observation that they have three times as much shield as Hydro Abyss Mages normally do. I am not kidding about the completely arbitrary part. Theorycrafters have it under the name of elemental gauges if you want to look for it. I have a list somewhere that I can't find of attacks and how much damage they do to abyss mage shields. To get an idea of how arbitrary this is, Amber's charged attack counts twice as much as any other bow user's charged attack. Keaya also counts as twice as much. Imbued weapons are almost completely random. Keqing's 1st and 4th normal attack deals damage, but if charged attack the 1st normal deal damage and if you use animation cancelling for repeated 1st normals, the 1st normal don't damage the shield at all. Fischl's oz do damage to the shield only on the 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th hit. Beidou does 4 times as much as normal on the initial Elemental burst damage. Then just to confuse electro users more, electrocharged does a little bit of damage too. No idea how Klee's ult works, but the result might be a lot lower than you expect, due to the arbitrary nature of which attacks cause how many elemental reactions. In my case I have Ganyu and Chongyun as well as Diona now as built up Cryo charcters, but even then I have only been able to 2 star complete 11-3 so far. It takes me 2 minutes to even do the first half and another 2.5 mins for the second half. As it is, for the pure purpose of apply elemental reaction to the shields to deplete them, you don't need to build up the characters. Right now I am thinking of using my lvl20 artifactless Kaeya to deplete the shields faster. As for your Diona, a single charged attack depletes as much as press elemental skill, a hold elemental skill depletes twice as much as press elemental skill, and the elemental burst does 3 times as much as the charged attack/tap elemental skill. Tested this vs a random Hydro Abyss Mage in the overworld. Having played Diona in Abyss I agree, I shouldn't be needing the heal so often so 3 of HP artifacts it is. Right now I am leaning towards 2P Millelith and 2P Maidens. | ||

I think the optimal element vs hydro shield may be Dendro. Since Cryo does 2.0 gauge to electro already, I think it only does 1.0 gauge to hydro + causing freeze. Will have to read more on that to verify this theory EDIT: I got Zhongli now. That should make it easier anyway :D | ||

I don't see how Dendro can be the most optimal when Dendro characters don't exist. From what I can tell from frighting Hydro Abyss mages, Cryo appears to be the most effective against them. No idea what is the most effective against the Abyss Lectors and their Electro shields but both Cryo and Pyro damages the Electro shields. Anyways, I managed to 3 star 11-3. Since I was coincidently farming Bloodstained I put the Bloodstained set on my Keqing and swapped the Electro goblet for Phys Goblet and swopped the Lion's Roar for Prototype Rancour to use the benefits of that +75% Phys Dam bonus on Floor 11. With careful positioning and a bit of luck I cut down the time for the first half with Phys Keqing down to 1 min. Maximised Ganyu cryo application with three shield users, Diona, Xinyan, Noelle, just so I can spend more time shooting instead of dodging. For some reason Xinyan wasn't cleansing the Slowing Waters effect even though I can see the shield pulsing. Internally count Diona's E cooldown in my head to maximise Diona elemental skill usage to recharge energy to use Ganyu's Burst again and saved Diona's Burst for when their shields are up for more cryo application. 1 second to spare. Such a pain to be unable to use skills to recharge the bursts. I have no clue how to do 12-3. Right now I am leaning towards Amber because baron bunny is a taunt. | ||

Decreasing safe zone: Venti works just fine. Ult them asap before shields are up -> money 12-3: Benett ult into E E E E E E E E E E E and if you need more, put Thundering Fury 4-piece on him Increases damage caused by Overloaded, Electro-Charged and Superconduct by 40%. Triggering such effects decreases Elemental Skill CD by 1s. Can only occur once every 0.8s. Maybe Thundersoother works too. Haven't tried or seen anythin on YT yet | ||

Thanks for the video but it takes me 1 min and 20s just to get the Abyss Lectors into shielded mode, so it's not really relateable to me when it takes that guy 45 seconds. Plus I don't have a Bennett. Though I guess he is currently in the starglitter shop. I've been using cryo all this time due to the team comps I've been using just to get past 12-2 second half without dying. Can't really tell if cryo or pyro is more effective from that video. Perhaps I'll try to put Xiangling in the first half and see how that goes. | ||
