https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/d4/t/suspension-of-trading-notice/116749 We’ve suspended player trading in Diablo IV until further notice due to a gold and item duplication exploit. We are working on a fix to amend this issue and will update you once we’ve reinstated the ability to trade. Once that is done, we will continue to monitor this activity to ensure a healthy playing experience for all. As always, any account that engages in gold and item duplication exploits will be actioned in accordance with our End User License Agreement. We thank you for reporting this exploit to us and your patience.

Simply great. I think you're slightly misunderstanding the breakpoint system for different tiers of item levels: https://www.thegamer.com/diablo-4-how-item-level-breakpoints-work/?newsletter_popup=1 Also, the guy in that video is a tool, but we've already discussed the issues he's still complaining about.

Uninstalled D4 without giving it a second thought and it actually made me feel better as I no longer have it in the back of my mind to do the chores required for battle pass and I don't have to think about the horrible itemization and inventory management in this game.

Simply great. DarkPlasmaBall didn't give the details, but your comment prompted me to investigate and it seems the story is going over 725 power (or hitting any other item power breakpoint) causes a reroll of the item's modifiers (and these modifiers reroll over higher ranges). Which improves the item on average, but does hold the potential of decreasing the roll if it was at the high end of the range previously, and rolls the low end of the new range. All the stuff I saw actually suggested pushing a good item up over 725 power if possible to get those potential bigger rolls. (Yes I do think that's a very stupid system, but it's also a bit unfair to describe this as "the item gets weaker".)

I've been really trying to like D4 and I enjoyed it for the first 2-3 weeks or so. The game doesn't really lack content, it's got plenty of things to do, they're just not fun to do. IMO they're dull and repetitive and i know, there are other games out there, that are repetitive as well, but they're actually fun to play. D4 feels more like a chore grindy hamster wheel, without delivering any feeling of accomplishment (like d1, d2 and even d3 to some degree did). This game has really been an eye-opener, it really shows that the game designers, who used to make the great games I used to love are gone. And I have no faith in the remaining devs and whatever their vision is for this game to actually turn things around. Maybe Microsoft can save this mess and it'll be fun to come back to in 2-3 years from now. But considering their track record with halo... Let's just say I won't be holding my breath.

May be the academic side that got a push by it's success on mobile game programmed the current generation of game designer to think about game design all wrong. Forgetting it is an art in the core, not just game loop that done one way makes people play it. Play time converts also quite badly to fun to play. We don't need a revolution in game design, but some clear evolution. Like when you move from D1 to D2 you clearly see what you gain in the design, in the scope etc.

I hope they do make a considered, significant effort to fix their formulae for elemental resistances and damage buckets and appropriately re-balance content. I don't think a "band-aid" fix would cut it, but then again I'm not sure the remaining audience really cares.
