![]() I had time to finish the 1st finish mission, but I do have a question: + Show Spoiler + The mission briefing talks about many hostages, but I only encountered the woman with Zeke the terrorist leader. After the conclusion of the encounter with Zeke, Sarif/Pritchard told me that the other hostages were lost. Was it possible to save other hostages or is it impossible to find them ?

I can't tell you exactly where, but in one of the bigger open research rooms there's a small room where they're at, you can reach it by an air duct behind the stairs near your entrance that takes you to the ceiling of that area, or you can just kill everybody and rescue them. <more-spoilers-about-it> It is a timed event where you have to deactivate a poison bomb

Kinda want to play this. It is easy to do. But I'm finding that once the VPN goes down, the game suddenly decides it doesn't want to load cut scenes. Ban hammer: it probably won't happen, they wouldn't ban money paying customers unless they are butt faced retarded. Just don't use hacks in game, but even then...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azeYJSggIUM Note: After you get through the first 30-40 minutes of the game, it really opens up and feels like DX1. You'll be able to see this once my mission1 video is finished rendering...6 1/2 hours from now. :< Bloody thing's an hour and a half long. Gotta hand it to Eidos for making a fantastic game, though. \o/ PS: + Show Spoiler + Major "squee!" at a returning character in the intro vid...even got the same voice actor :D!!!! PPS: If you've purchased it on Steam, you may find the game pops up with the decryption process and gets stuck at 64/65% - just let it sit for about 5 minutes, I think the decryption algorithms just take that time to visit Starbucks...they eventually get the job done.

I've never played the original Deus Ex, and so far so good. I'd recommend it wholeheartedly.

No prior knowledge necessary. Enjoy! Go play the first one too, there is a reason people call it the greatest game of all time.

If you like dystopian cyberpunk bladerunner-esque themes, I cant see how you wouldn't love this game. My only complaint is that the animations, especially during conversation are pretty lackluster if not downright terrible. The loading times are brutal as well.

Sarif mentions something about you taking too much time.

I agree with this for the most part, but it isn't unusual for "persuade" events to actually have really good animation, such as the one in Hive, if you've made it that far. It looked pretty rockin' to me.

It really is a phenomenal game and I URGE anyone on the fence to buy it immediately. That being said I chose Deus Ex (the hardest difficulty) for my first playthrough and it feels good. However, the lady boss in the round room was a huge faggot to beat. I kept trying for literally an hour and had to give up and turn the difficulty down. She's pretty damn annoying without a certain aug and only 20 bullets for your gun ![]()

Honestly I have prob spent 3 hours breaking into every house in the Detroit area and reading all the emails. and on that note the hacking minigame is a blast(dumped my first 4 points into it so i can hack almost any terminal in the game already).
