Just hit sword’s postgame last weekend and I have a lot of complaints about the implementation of max raid battles. There may be some good ideas there but there are also a lot of problems and annoyances that go with it.

Either they are extra scummy with milking their fanbase or they are ridiculously behind in their cloud infrastructure or both. Either they are milking their fanbase or their cloud cost tripled. I don't even know how the latter is even possible so there's really only one explanation. Even $5 for bank was milking, but atleast $5 is low enough that I don't think much about the purchase. $16 is just ridiculous for basically the same thing (I can get extremely high quality games at non-sale prices for that money). I'm just gonna move my Bank mons back on my 3DS and use the free version of Home. It sucks because I renewed my Bank subscription back in November waiting for news on Home The problem is, people are gonna pay for the premium version. I know people who are like "I'm upset, but I'll bite the bullet and subscribe." I find Max raid battles as a game not that engaging, but I've played it with new players where SwSh is their first pokemon game and they wouldn't have played with me otherwise (probably wouldn't have done Multi battles vs the AI with me) so it was cool as a "chill and play Pokemon with people I otherwise wouldn't play with" sort of experience. For all of its faults, it brought me together with more casual friends so I can't really hate on it

For all of its faults, it brought me together with more casual friends so I can't really hate on it Recent news by Serebii have been more positive. For one, they are reporting that you don't need to have a Nintendo online account to access Pokemon Home. More importantly, Serebii mentioned that people whose account has lapsed will just be unable to access the premium boxes. Nintendo has been pretty scummy with how they handled this with bank. Some people got their pokemon deleted after lapsing, some didn't. I don't think they gave a concrete explanation on how it works. Personally, mine lapsed from October to January and I only renewed bank recently. Thankfully, my pokemon were still there. If lapsed subscriptions will just be unable to access the premium boxes without the contents deleted, that means I can just resubscribe whenever I play Pokemon. Subscribing 1-2 months a year is almost the same price as current bank. If they don't have new content, I don't need to have a subscription. In fact, if I'm not planning on moving stuff around, I don't even need to have a subscription while playing. Hopefully, this is the case. I'm a solo player. What annoys me most about max raid battles is how terrible the stupid AI trainers are. It feels like Game Freak is just trolling solo players. The degree the player has to carry them is just absurd. There's the useless wobbuffett and solrock. There are unevolved ones like pikachu and magikarp. There are ultra fragile ones like weavile and salazzle. And with breaking shields the name of the game, there are ones that use moves with cooldowns (snorlax) or moves that need to be charged (maractus). 5 year old kids can come up with better than this.

One thing I think was really cool that I haven’t recalled seeing in other FPS games much is that bullet richochet sound effect. I know it’s there because it’s used a lot in the films but it seems such an odd thing not to have in other shooters. Adds a bit of tension and ‘oh I got lucky there’ It’s a shame Goldeneye/Rare/Free Radical are stuck in various degrees of hell, a Goldeneye or a Timesplitters remaster would be absolutely perfect for the Switch

I'm thinking of buying a switch. I got 2 kids ages 1½ and 3½. Are there any games out there i can enjoy with them for when i play at home? I know the little one is too young, but the one on 3½ i was hoping for a bit of gaming with him... Would I need to get several controllers besides the one included? I read that you can play 2 player with the controller included but I'm not sure if thats all games or only some games? Are there many promotions/sales on the eshop? Or is cartridges the way to go? (I'm from denmark, don't know if theres a difference in EU/US/ASIA Shops?) Whats your favorite game? :D Anything else a switch newbie need to know? Thanks in advance.. =)

We are currently set on a starter pack of regular Switch+Mario Odyssey+Mario Kart Is Mario Kart comfortable to play as 2 people with just a joycon each? If I want another controller, should I get 2 more joycons or a pad? (Neither of us is interested in playing any competitive games like Smash). Any recommendations for next games to play as a couple? Preferably co-op and not very hard. We already have Rayman Legends on PS3 and enjoy it. Anything else I should now, for example regarding game pricing and availability in Europe? I never had a stationary Nintendo, but I know from experience that DS and 3DS games are harder to come by here and their prices never drop.

It has features that will keep the car both on the track and accelerating, great for little ones that don't have strong motor skills. Each of the joycons can support a player on their own, so out of the box you'll be able to have 2 players going on it. Being a Mario title, you don't have to worry about the contents being appropriate. To top it all off, you can get it as a throw in with the console! My personal favorite game by a landslide is BotW, but at those ages it would seem more like a "watch dad(or mom? idk) play" type of game. I prefer physical copies because I value the ability to lend a game to a friend or sell it later if I decide I don't like it or no longer want it - which I did with ARMS. I've seen people complain about the size of using a singular joycon, but attaching the wrist strap attachment give it a deeper profile that fits much better. If it's a matter of wanting to be able to handle 4 players in a single joycon scenario, get a set of joycons. If you'd like a more traditional feeling controller, get a pro controller. To both of you, I'd suggest looking into Mario Party, and Luigi's Mansion 3.

Try out the demo with the older one and judge for yourself. I loved the demo but have yet failed to pick it up on a sale

Objectively, Perfect Dark (also created by Rare) was GoldenEye 2.0 in every way, too. But GE did set a precedent for console shooters, and it's traditionally a favorite party game to this day.

* Katamari Damarcy. Not trivial to control, but easy enough and the entertainment value is pretty separate from the ability to complete the levels (you can also unlock freestyle mode for them). * Untitled Goose Game. A little trickier to control I suppose, but still pretty open ended and fun for reasons separate from the challenges of the game * Ring Fit. Until they can hold the ringcon do it for them and have them follow along, but is still fun and silly for them. * Minecraft. Is Minecraft. * Humans Fall Flat. Probably a watch along game until later, but another indie pickup that has entertainment separate from the ability to clear the levels. Definitely harder to control than the other ones. Also none of the above recs really require the ability to read to enjoy.
