So now we know there are a ton of big hero battles planned out for the next few months, im gonna start training everyone so most of my 4 stars are in the 30s, and are ready to hit 40 incase they are needed to battle.
I still wish i had effie or hector as an armored tank i currently have to use much weaker units inplace of them.

I have a single armored unit, won't be able to do that 4 armored allies quest.

I upgraded my castle and am leveling a full cavalry team for now.

Sick amount of orbs for the training tower quests though!
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

Are these quests going to stay around for more than the day? I've been getting new ones every day with the same title.

It says how long they last just above the list of missions.

On another note, it's gonna take me a while to figure out how to make the best use of the inherit skills thing, does anyone have any thoughts on that?
Can someone please explain/how water falls with no rain?

im not smart enough to work out all the values and stats to see what hero should get what, plus im not having any limit to fun atm so i'll wait out stuff before going all in on that IS stuff

Alot of theory crafting have been on one hit(80 atk damage, or X atk times by 4) combo units with dancers, or insanely tanky pivot line ups. I think you basically need alot of 5 star units and feathers otherwise committing to something might be fun but inefficient in the long run.

I've had my 4star nino from the begining and she'll be the first 5star i make!!! Carried me through so many things...tho i havnt checked her IV's i think she might be netural (i did give her a +1) a while back before knowing about IV's i hope i never find out if its a +spd/-def or something amazing like that

Oke has anyone figured out a better way to get featthers? 20k is a fuckton and honestly if it wasn't for the 10k bonus feathers I wouldn't have been able to 5 star anyone. I just have quests, events and arena basically but its like a few hundred a day at most.

20k is a fuckton and I think it's done intentionally to get the whales invested. Every time a new banner comes out I consider throwing down 20 bucks and this is the only game I've even considered doing that. I've only actually done it once though because I'm not an actual whale

This inheritance thing is a bit overwhelming. So few restrictions means that some characters will be sought after only as fodder for their skills.
It also has made playing arena wilder, because you have to click on every opposing character to see what is going on with their weapon and skills. You're likely only going to see the same 5-6 anyway but still.

I read it as they only inherit skills from mergers if you're merging two of the same character? Since they would be able to unlock it eventually anyway (just saves you time/SP I guess). At least, that was the example they used. Being able to merge/inherit ANY skill onto ANY other character will get way too powerful and overwhelming I agree. Maybe they need to clarify a bit..

Being presented with this many choices all at once is tough. I feel like getting my takumi vantage 3 and getting my yTiki a counter breath should be among my first inherits, but that'll cost my entire 40k feathers. I suppose I could do with Vantage 2 since I have a 4* gordins.

Lon'qu 4* has Vantage up to 3 btw. One of these characters that will be just dismantled every time they get summoned haha.

I immediatly got rid of my lonqu a month ago, at least I pulled a gordin in my Lucius summon

The more interesting case will be who Close/Ranged Counter can be given to for greatest benefit, since once you make that non-unique, Takumi and Hector stand out a lot less.

Not something the average player will likely want to do, given the steep cost, but for the whales who already have multiples of each of them, I'm sure it's something that will be investigated.

I'm reaaaaally hoping there aren't too many people learning those skills. I kind of despise their existence in the first place given how they affect strategy/teambuilding.

Thanks for the heads up on lon'qu. Looks like I need to do some more research before I pull the trigger on anything...

Edit: given the specifics of how inheritance works now, optimal pulling strategy is probably different. I feel like just saving to 20 orbs and pulling everything is better than focusing on a single/two colors in a lot of cases since there are some really powerful inherits at lower rarities.

It's going to be interesting to see how the skills play out anyways. They may actually not be all that strong compared to some other possibilities. Like sure you can counter at any range, but if your unit still gets one shot by a Cordelia with Life & Death it's questionable how much it's going to matter.

Or take any of the Nino-like books, now that you can stack everyone with a C-tier buff you can easily get someone like Nino +16 attack.

Grind arena until you've maxed out the top tier reward for each week. (I try to shoot for a minimum of 4k score each week with my highest ever being around 4.4k~)
Pick Lucina every time she's in the Voting Arena and dump all your flags in a single matchup.
Do all of the arena dailies and quests possible.
Send heroes home that are useless.

I'm F2P and after doing all of those things ^ I've gotten about 45k~ worth of feathers since launch. (-20k to promote Effie, -2k to promote a 3s -> 4s, and I have 23k saved up right now that i was holding on to just incase i need it for some skill inheritance bullshit.)

edit: some of the ideas I want to do some math/see some research done on with skill inheritance.

-vantage counter units are obviously going to be strong, just curious how strong.
-how strong weapon buff stack teams are going to be
-map teleporting dancers might be a thing.

the important threshholds for speed will likely significantly increase making +SPD IVs much more important.
I suspect that units with high BST but bad skills such as Batre and Hinata will be much more heavily used.
