Other than giving special attacks to my existing 5* characters, idk what else I should be doing In my opinion there's some pretty strong options in each slot to look out for: A- The top tier is usually Close/Distant Counter (for defense, for offense you really only need distant counter) but assuming you don't have spare copies of those... Life & Death, Death Blow, Speed, Darting Blow, Triangle Adept (if unit has colorless advantage). B- Bowbreaker if you need a handle on Takumis, Vantage (esp with all range counter), Drag Back, Seal Attack, Quick Reposite are all good options. I think B-tier has the most situational choices. C- You want to mix up buffs here with Spur and Hone abilities to give your team good buffs. Since there's not much here a Threaten on a melee dude is a possibility. You may not need Hone Speed because you'll probably want Rally Speed on your team. Assists: Rally Speed and Smite are probably the most practical for offense, with Harsh Command, Rally Attack, Shove and Reposition being other possibilities. On defense you'd want to avoid any repositioning abilities because your AI will waste time with it. Specials- Moonbow is the best for being 2 turn charge. Otherwise any dmg causing 3 charge. For specials I think the most important aspect is getting it to charge rather than the effect, in most arenas your heroes usually won't get more than 2 attacks in. Weapons- Brave weapons, Books that add bonuses to your attack, or Books that give bonus vs colorless are the key ones you can grab, everything else interesting can't be inherited. I think for the most part people's built in weapons are their best unless you are after something specific and quirky or you are using a lower tier character base. Some exceptions would be like putting a Brave Lance on Effie. Where it gets harder is quirky potential options (Cecilia with Nino's book and Calvary buffs, A Falchion user with lots of HP regen and miracle, Cordelia based line ups) or just how to effectively get where you want to go. The spread sheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1P39ItMMS0kV9YShUrvx-kUCyefG2hF6v0FYCDR5gCik/htmlview?usp=sharing&sle=true has been updated to have base stats listed which is pretty handy for figuring out what bodies to put what on (though chances are you will just use whatever 5 star dudes you have).

It's been 2+ hours and they're still in stock too. Either they're massively overselling or there's not a lot of demand for this one. EDIT: Product page is up on Amazon but literally nothing on there.

Still banking feathers cause I can't decide who to upgrade though. My weakest 5* is definitely Marth - although he's better now that I've given him Life and Death 2 - but idk what other sword user/red character would be more useful at 5*. On another note, I've been playing through Path of Radiance again after people were talking about it here. Man, I forgot what a good FE story felt like, although I'm going to be obstinate and say I still like FE7's better ![]() ![]()

I use public transport a lot so handhelds are the way to go for me.

The only thing that seems questionable is the map design for the new map we see in the newest trailer (with Mycen) is just as bad as the maps originally in Gaiden. I get the copy-paste original maps being bad, but if you're going to make the effort of including new maps, at least make them proper maps. Also, that stupid desert map is still in the game.

It took most of the day before they ran out. I'm probably going to skip on this SE tbh. My interest in the goodies is pretty mixed, and the Fates SE was more or less just straight value when compared to buying the games separately. And to be honest, if I knew Rev was as bad as it is then, I might not have bothered buying the SE back then either.

Conquest was a huge letdown story wise. That said, the game play was top drawer. Don't think I'll be interested in the Special Edition or whatever the whipper snappers call it this day. If it came with a Castlevania soundtrack then maybe, but as far as I know it doesn't. I'm going to call it now, this one is going to be better than Birthright and Revelations, but worse than Awakening and Conquest. I'm hoping this will blow my socks off though. I want to see heresy on a grand level. I want to see political back stabs and dirty dealing. I want to see armor knights be top tier.

I don't agree with this statement because I think Birthright is mostly just a categorical improvement over Awakening. And I know you haven't played Birthright so you're not in a position to judge. ![]()
