Why not another stamina gauge of some kind? I don't know how much the 30min/play matters all that much. With the ~70 points/win you'll make 2000 flags over the event. Betting 100 flags gives you 7000 points. It seems like a lot more depends on how many people invest their flags now vs later and how many people in your army do all the quests in time.
Yes I see it now. It seems much more crucial to get these flag rewards than being on time every half hour for a single gauntlet battle indeed. I hadn't seen those batches of x100 flags to earn with quests.

Holy shit guys I got lucky. Only had 10 orbs, but I wanted to pull on the princesses banner for lucina. Since I only open reds I thought let's go for it, since the are usually not more than 2 red summons anyway. Well there were 3 and I opened 2 and this was the result.

Super happy. 5* number 9 and 10 as a f2p player  .
Edit: I pulled the Roy first and was sad it was not Lucina... then it happened. Could not believe it.

How do you summon is there a better way than just pulling every 20 orbs?

It depends on what you have/want. It's tempting to just pull all of them if your want category is "anything 5*" and you won't be too bad off. I believe min/maxing for 5*, you should only pull colors with a focus of that color (even counting the orb discount for off color rolls). Rolling red in the princess focus if you want lucina and aren't saturated on other red is good value.
It's a bit worse though when half your 5*s are red, and takumi or maybe kagero are the only grey worth getting. I won't be pulling either of those colors at all for quite a while.
So for me I'm all in on green/blue orbs on the unconfirmed nino/effie focus.

Oddly, as much as I want nino, my julia and camilla have put me the opposite position. Nowi has my blue covered, I just need a replacement for Marth. I'm trying Eliwood right now, but I don't know if he'll work...

I just want 5 stars...i have 2 of them...
Should i stock pile my orbs till like 60 so i have a better chance of hitting a 5 dtar due to the slight bonus?

Hm I just pulled randomly every 20 orbs tbh and got pretty lucky I guess.
I pulled 9 5* and upgraded my 4* Nowi with feathers so that makes 10.
From now on that I have a solid amount, I will save up orbs and only pull the colors I need for specific focus characters like I did with Lucina.

Yeah pretty much. Was definitely a bit disappointed when I pulled Roy at first.

Hoky crap id kill to have something like urs wtf...how do i have like nothing, i started playing from day 1 and havnt missed out on anything bonus wise or the nitendo rewards stuff  hopefully with this new voting 20 orb bonus ill pull something thats 5stars

I feel like they should really hide who's winning the voting thing, or at least keep the totals hidden until the end. Kind of ruins the suspense otherwise and I feel like it might stop people on the losing team from trying :x
(I say as someone who picked Sharena, who lost, and then Lucina, who is already winning by like a mil)

Also went with Shareena and switched to Lucina now.
I agree the suspense was lost pretty fast, since you can see the numbers. But on the other hand, imagine you were trying hard until the last minute, playing every 30 minutes, only to find out that you had no chance from the start  .

Spent about 80 orbs so far on the princesses trying for Lucina. No luck unfortunately but I did get a 4* MRobin who I've had my eye on.
I also think I've gotten about five Marths since I started playing, 2 5* and a handful of 4*...
I haven't combined any characters yet. Is it worth it? I know you lose any stats you get from combining if you upgrade them later, but seems like it would be decent on 4* since the resources it takes to upgrade someone are substantial and might take a while.

struggling super hard vs ursula, shes really strong that that position that you start off in, sucks balls theres almost no room to move around.
My team of lvl 40, nino, erika, sharena and oliva (lvl 22) go crushed twice
so...time for something new. Theres only 3 days to do it, but i've seen a youtube video of 4 stars, Mrobin and Frobin winning the map, use Mrobin to bait the ninja near the bottom and move Frobin forward into ursulas attack path, both robins end up kill them in the counter attack and the rest is just clean up.
Hopefully i manage to grind them both up to lvl40 in time

Beat 3 star rather easily with julia camilla nowi and marth, but 4 star is kicking my ass

So I just beat it and Camilla and Olivia are the MVPs for this one.
Position Camilla at the bottom, Olivia in the middle, any Mage that can kill the knight in two turns (so basically 1 turn with Olivia) on the right and a good blue non infantry at the top (Catria for me, Abel is even better probably).
Turn 1: Move Camilla forward two spaces, but do not attack the wall. She will easily tank Ursula's attack.
Turn 2: The Knight will have moved by now, so kill him with your mage with Olivia's help. Then kill the ninja at the top with Camilla. You Mage or Camilla will tank another Ursula attack.
Turn 3: Kill Ursula and move your fighter that can tank the red cavalry and Ninja. Maybe he can already kill the red in this turn.
Turn 4. Clean up the thief.
Any good green non infantry unit can replace Camilla I guess. Non Infantry is important against the Ninjas, which are basically Kageros.
Different strategies with Julia/Nino just counter killing Ursula could work. But she would be weak vs the Ninjas.

If you summon a hero then quit the summon do u still get the bonus of 0.25% for a 5star, if so wouldnt just quiting after every summon be better in gettings a 5star cause you can raise the % by much more, or does the game wait for you to summon 5 heros (with no 5stars) before increasing the % rate

The game waits until you summoned 5 heroes. I pulled two times on the lucina banner, both times with 10 orbs for 2 red heroes. The percentage did not increased between the first and second pull.
My heroes were all lvl 40 5* heroes. Should be doable with a 4* Camilla though, she literally took 2 damage from Ursula.
