Using her on a no forge no reclass run as a weapon master definitely made the game a nightmare on a whole new level.

Most of the people who advocate this also seem to do so with the assumption that Zero is a bad unit, which seems wrong to me.

You get two parallel proofs and two marriage proofs for free though, so you have a lot of flexibility should you want to do one thing or another. The base classes are good enough to beat the game, and prepromotes + children are good so you won't ever be screwed for lack of resources.

Complains about being unable to grind when Conquest was pretty much announced as the no-grind route to appeal to series veterans.

EDIT!: NEVER MIND!!!! Best Buy just had a massively popular restock on best buy. Over 2000 copies sold in less than an hour. It looks like mine is confirmded, but a couple of people are reporting that they are still recieving cancellation emails. So things are really up in the air. EDIT2: Best Buy cancelled on me. Target stock in 10 minutes apparently

I heard BB delayed a bunch of the Nov Pre-orders. Not to mention this whole ebay thing is rediculous cause no refund for a few days. Target was a dud, gonna try fry's and target in the morning. Amazon is also doing a "temporarily out of stock" thing as well...

I can't get behind the price point on this one, gonna have to pass till it's collected and price dropped. See you in a few years. Prices don't always go down. FE: PoR is now 100+ pounds on the internet due to lack of availability. And I want it ![]()

the upside is that you can't grind and overlevel, making the game super easy for you. It makes it so the mid to lategame is actually challenging(granted I expect DLC to remove this part still if its available to Conquest) The downside is that I always favour certain characters in the game and sometimes they are just..........bad? You are forced to use other particular characters. As for given a choice, I am always tempted to grind a little to get my favourite chars rolling In my experience for example Pegasus Knights are a huge investment(in most games) as they are often weak until the later stages and prone to die early. Early game units often have axes and lances are not super great againt swords, they just allow them not to die, they also get oneshot by any archers. I would not use Sumia in a no-grind playthrough probably, i'd use Cordellia. I think its great that they have 2 routes with different playstyles, i'm going to enjoy that IF I CAN GET MY FKING EU HANDS ON IT.

I get what you're trying to say but Awakening's a bad example for it because Pair Up does a ton of work patching up sketchy starts, and the stat inflation makes everyone a growth unit (a lot of the worst units are your redundant mid-lategame prepromotes which is rarely the case in other FE games). Cordy's still like top 5 units and you pretty much always use both, but the only units that are more useful than Sumia are Robin and Fred for obvious reasons. The GBA FEs are a much better examples because the overall lower growths lead to higher variance and more likelihood of a growth unit getting RNG-screwed. EDIT: Regarding no-grind in Conquest, I'm led to believe that it's not a problem--even the really shitty units can still be made viable as long as you show appropriate favoritism and aren't spreading resources way too thin (e.g. you aren't trying to level everyone all at once, but still focus on your core team).

Will have to see her in action to confirm, but on paper she seems like one of the best units on the route based on that niche alone.

I wonder if reclassing(is that still in fates) is worth it in Conquest, reclassing usually takes a fuckton of investment to make 1 char super strong.

Reclassing doesn't work the same as in Awakening. Your level stays the same (rather than de-leveling down to level 1) and you don't fuck up your internal level for XP gain, it just switches you over cleanly to the new class. You retroactively pick up skills you missed on your subsequent level-ups. If you are a promoted class, you reclass over to other promoted classes and pick up the skills from the base class this way too (so you don't have to slog through base class levels again). The only "investment" is the Parallel Seal itself + retraining E rank weapons if your new class doesn't share a weapon type with your old class. Early reclassing is very reasonable and there are a couple characters that seem like serious no-brainers to reclass, and Severa is one of them.
